I know i will get slated as he wants european football and also doesn't want to come back from italy yet .
But i would love to see how ambitious we are and how much it would take to get him back .
Roma have just signed Dybala and are close to signing Belotti. Will tammy be happy sharing games with those two?

Schick would be my preferred striking option but it looks like he’s staying out, that being the case Abraham is not a bad shout. I hadn’t realised Roma had signed Dybala and if they have, I would have thought Abraham would want to maximise his playing time in the run up to the World Cup which might increase our chances of landing him. If we are going to play two up top I think Abraham/Ings would work together better than Watkins/Ings if only because Abraham spends more time in the 18 yard box than Watkins

Are any of these players actually available and want to come to Birmingham? It’s all very well having a personal wish-list but if Villa are not even on their radar then we’re barking at the moon (as Ozzie has often said)?

Money talks Menace if a club is interested and are prepared to stump up the cash then anything is possible, for example with all the big European clubs sniffing around Kamara who would have thought we would have landed him.

We really need to have a think about what we are trying to do as a club.
Our owners are absolutely amazing, purlow is good at his job.
We are beginning to have no identity, first we was buying youngish players with sell on value, now we have a relatively old squad .
I feel sorry Kamara he is being pulled apart by our midfield being over ran
We have two full backs who want to attack, with the weakest part of there game being defending. We have a midfield 3 with 2 of them being attack minded. And we have a front 3.
So within a the starting outfield 10 we have 3 players whos first priority is to defend. and we wonder why were getting battered by teams like palace ?
Change of formation required gerrard . can't keep on playing this way

Hey all
First post in a long time, and new account to boot.
So after the debarcle that was a defeat to Bournmouth, it could well be a long season ahead.
We have a team of individuals which collectively would be worth 500 million (this makes us a top 20 team in world football in terms of value)
So what's going wrong, firstly in my opinion, we are trying to play like man city, with a short passing game. However there is no speed to our play in terms of opening up teams. So we are just passing it side to side with no purpose or breaking the lines and then putting in too many crosses as a last resort.
I think this 4-3-3/4-3-1-2 formation is good with the right personal. But we don't have the right players for this formation.
both of these formations due to their narrow nature require speed in certainly the front 3 and maybe the 1 of the midfielders.
I watched the man u vs brighton game with Brighton lining up in a 3-3-3-1 formation. To which they tore man united apart along with a lot of other teams last season .
I actually think it could work with the personal we have at the club which on paper are better than brighton

Interesting take Kenn, spot on with the slow build up which makes it so easy for teams to defend against us. Unfortunately with our form over the last dozen games i'm not sure we would get top dollar for the players you would get rid of.

The problem we are going to have is a number of the players you are saying we should sell have been available for some time but we haven’t exactly been inundated with offers. In terms of who you would like to see coming in, Abraham has said he wants to stay at Roma playing European football. I believe Sangare has just signed a contract extension so I can’t see either of those coming and Ndombele has a bloody awful attitude so I wouldn’t want him anywhere near the squad. I don’t know enough about De Tomas but I agree we definitely need another front man.

I don't think more players is necessarily the answer, bar a ball playing No 8 (a "passer") I don't think we have a massive gap in the squad - I think Gerrard needs to get more from the players he has first of all, he's absolutely not doing that in his current set up so needs to go back to the drawing board and be more pragmatic.

What we have been lacking for several seasons is a controller, a pass master, a boss.
There are many quality players that don't look like they know where they are going.
I think Gerard has stated he needs a number 8. What is a number 8?
We have lots of muscle, lots of runners but few brains in the middle of the pitch.
Phil and Emi can cause chaos further forward but there does not appear to be the "turn to" player since Grealish left.
With all the players that have been bought Grealish has not been replaced.
Neither Phil nor Emi play the way Grealish played and so we are still missing the piece of the jigsaw that completes the team.
I am not a massive fan of Mings due to his simple errors, but Capt to sub is not a good move.
I am not a fan of Gerard either.
We all have a pride in what we do and words from your manager will not help when you lose your place. Has something gone on behind the scene that we don't know about.?
We are still waiting to see if Gerard is our Messiah.

Fully agree ?, we need the connective tissue between the midfield and the forwards - A ball playing No. 8 is the missing piece of the puzzle in terms of play acquisitions this summer as I don't think we'll attract better strikers than Ings and Watkins both of whom Gerrard needs to get more out of.

Ndombele does have an attitude problem yes. but maybe that is just because he is french .
I know my suggestions was radical, but let's face it both smith and now gerrard have struggled to get the best out of our supposed star players on a regular basis . So for me i'm still with shipping our the dead wood and maybe a chnage of formation.

Dont really know much about amorim at sporting to be fair. But hey anything has got to be better than what we had .
Looking at the last few months its clear that Stevie G was a manager and not a coach as the players had no clue on what system they was playing
Hope whoever comes in can jist coach the players and be given time.
I quite like seeing Arne Slot onnthe list .
