Villa launch double loan swoop for Leicester's Ulloa and Amartey.
Everyone knows about Ulloa and anyone who watches us play I think can see he'd be brilliant in our team. Didn't know much about Amartey but judging from Leicester fans opinion he sounds like Jedinak with legs, although they say he's not excellent on the ball. Would be ideal to be fair, get Whelan as far away from the team as possible, rotate Jedinak and Amartey to keep everything fresh. Hope this comes off.

chrisAVFC

1.) 10 Jan 2018 19:39:03
I live as you know in Leicester, and most my friends/ family are crisp fans.
They say the Ulloa deal has been sorted for a long time, since the summer, a loan that becomes permanent if we go up.
They also say that amarty is siht, and would pay us to take him. I’ve never seen the lad. however. they also say this is happening!

2.) 10 Jan 2018 20:01:10
Fingers crossed then, from what’s on twitter amartey has been played out of position a lot so has had a few stinkers. Hope the Ulloa deal comes off ASAP.

{Ed001's Note - Leicester usually play Amartey at right back but he is really a central midfielder.}

3.) 10 Jan 2018 20:10:47
Like I said, I don’t know much of him. Just repeating what’s been said.
Rb is the last position we need a player for anyway!

We could do with another inforcer in the middle.

Anyways. thanks Ed001, Wasn’t expecting you to answer one of my posts till about March April time. that’s when you normally resurface! 😏🤫.

{Ed001's Note - I only go for about 3 days though Flacks, it just feels like longer for you as you miss me so much.}

4.) 10 Jan 2018 20:33:30
Jesus, that’s true. normally feels like 40 days, and 40 nights.

{Ed001's Note - funnily enough I was out wandering in the desert earlier.}

5.) 10 Jan 2018 20:46:18
Just laughed out loud! Lol

Did you happen to have a conversation with a fairly hot bush?!

{Ed001's Note - she wasn't bad at all, but how did you know her name was Bush?}

6.) 10 Jan 2018 21:13:27
I read her diary, was on a couple of stone tablets!

{Ed001's Note - stone tablets? I wouldn't want to swallow a couple of those next time I have a headache!}

7.) 10 Jan 2018 21:16:23
This thread is giving me a headache!

{Ed001's Note - you sound like my missus now.}

8.) 10 Jan 2018 21:38:57
Bush?

{Ed001's Note - not really, it is more of a Brazilian she has.}

9.) 10 Jan 2018 21:58:49
That’s twice you’ve made me laugh out loud! Lol.

10.) 11 Jan 2018 12:45:37
Dont know bout you laughing out loud flacks the banter between you and edoo1 nearly had me pissing my pants mate. Lol.

{Ed001's Note - glad to hear it mate.}

The s*n reporting Brighton want to push through a 3mil move for Davis. Has to be rubbish, however if we got a big of 8mil+ I'd take it if it meant we could go and buy someone to replace him.

chrisAVFC

1.) 10 Jan 2018 09:21:16
How about a deal?
Murray + £5m for Davis?
Murray scores on a regular basis, Davis holds the ball up.
Currently we need goals.
Davis is still raw but we need a finisher.

2.) 10 Jan 2018 14:13:25
Do you trust Bruce to bring in a good striker to replace Davis if he was sold?
Davis going nowhere in my opinion.

30 Dec 2017 16:58:42
Pulis, What's the score, Pulis Pulis what's the score?!?! Hahaha. Mainbob if O'hare is half as good as Murphy then I can see why you rave about him so much😉 excellent performance away from home. was too cautious going forward in the first half but second we took more chances in the passing and the movement and deserved our win IMO.

Just need to move the ball faster, look to pop it into players quicker rather than always looking for the ball out wide. It's weird what happens when you take out the player who always has a mistake in him, play one of our best players from last year in his right position and actually play a centre back at centre back!

chrisAVFC

1.) 30 Dec 2017 17:11:12
Chris I said 5 young players who needed games and Murphy was one of them,
Plus grealish the big difference again,
Bruce must stay with this youth on the bench,
Murphy did well when he came on the only downside to him he keeps getting these injuries,
Nice to see Hayes on the bench as well,
Great performance defended very well.

2.) 30 Dec 2017 17:23:56
See elfick man of match with most pundits,
He was the best player with grealish against brentford, as well.
Fair play to him.

3.) 30 Dec 2017 18:39:54
Bruce didn’t do himself any favours, if Whelan didn’t get ill then Jedinak was starting at CB and Elphic on the bench, players at the end showed its means just as much to them as us. Murphy looked really tidy, Control, holding it up everything he did well.

13 Dec 2017 19:06:30
Ollie McBurnie has just announced he's joining Villa, other than he's a youth player for Swansea, anyone got a clue about him?

chrisAVFC

1.) 13 Dec 2017 20:06:56
Scored 8 goals his whole career, 5 in non league and 3 in league 2, doesn’t sound promising.

2.) 14 Dec 2017 07:20:07
Chris, is there a link to where he says he's joining Villa?

3.) 14 Dec 2017 12:48:33
Someone wrote to him on his Instagram “join the villa”, he replied “I am”. Pictures are everywhere, started following half the team last night on twitter as well.

4.) 14 Dec 2017 16:55:19
Is this the best striker Bruce can find?
God help us all if these rummors are true.

5.) 15 Dec 2017 08:38:40
It's called cover.

6.) 15 Dec 2017 08:44:53
MainBob I don't think we should knock him until we have seen him. As fans this is sometimes our problem I believe we should give the lad a chance.

7.) 15 Dec 2017 09:01:31
We have young players in the under 21s who need to be given a chance as well,
O'hare/ hayes/ mckirdey/ clark/ sulaman
Is this kid mcburnie any better than what we have got now?
We need a experienced striker on loan to give Davis a helping hand in my opinion.

02 Aug 2017 11:27:39
Bruce said the weekend he was looking to have Jack as a main stay in the team and really have the team play around him and build them around how to get the best out of him. Makes sense because Bruce has started using formations with a number 10 role which he didn't at all last year and weirdly enough after 3 years Jacks numbers changed to the number 10.

Read today it could be 6 months out with him, but his dad has said 2 or 3, hope its the latter. Should be able to keep fit as well given it's a kidney injury he should be able to do lots of lightweight stuff.

These are the sort of performances and points that get you promoted, enjoy it boys!

chrisAVFC

1.) 24 Feb 2018 17:34:17
I agree Chris,
I was at the game and our defence in the first half were shocking.
Wednesday went through us at will and caused us major problems,
Never could I see us winning that game 4-2,
But this is a sign of a good team winning when playing poor,
I did not like seeing anomah or Whelan in team,
Give credit to Whelan he did get 1 goal so he earned his selection,

24 Feb 2018 14:06:48
Can't defend it any longer, if he isn't injured then Callum O'hare not being included is an absolute joke. He wasn't in the team for the U23's a few days ago, Bruce said himself in his press conference he's going to be in the 18 atleast, he's scoring and assisting in the U23's consistently, yet come to today and he isn't on the bench or the first 11 yet Onomah retains his place. That's an absolute farse, he has to be injured.

chrisAVFC

1.) 24 Feb 2018 14:16:57
Whelan back in as well?
Is Hogan injured as well?
A very strange line up.
And if o'hare can't get into squad now with all the injurys he never will unless he has a injury,

2.) 24 Feb 2018 14:28:43
Mainbob Hogans playing mate.
Slight change of heart I see chris,

3.) 24 Feb 2018 14:34:41
Did not see Hogan on sheet only grabban.

4.) 24 Feb 2018 14:36:40
My mistake thank God Hogan is playing.

5.) 24 Feb 2018 14:47:13
Chance of a much needed win today, their injury crisis is worse than our own. Hopefully hogan can find the net same goes for grabban. Suprised ohare isn't on the bench, must be injured. so come on you villa let's have it.

6.) 24 Feb 2018 14:50:04
I said it after last Tuesday Dave, the way Onomah played he didn’t deserve to make the bench today and O’hare has been performing for the u23’s it’s a joke he isn’t there today, add in the fact Bruce said yesterday he will be and it’s just weird if you ask me. Who have we got off the bench to play attacking midfield or wide to make a difference? I haven’t been on about him all year like mainbob but today he definitely deserved his chance.

7.) 24 Feb 2018 14:50:42
And to add to that all the other changes, no Bjarnson? Whelan starting? It’s just odd if you ask me.

8.) 24 Feb 2018 15:01:20
I agree chris, only pulling your leg mate.

22 Feb 2018 20:05:05
U23's are playing tonight but can't find the team sheet anywhere, either the media team are being lazy or it's on purpose because the likes of Murphy and O'hare aren't playing, ready for the weekend.

chrisAVFC

1.) 22 Feb 2018 21:06:07
I can`t either chris, good result though 3-0.
Just found out Grealish, and Albert both likely to miss the Sheffield game.

2.) 22 Feb 2018 21:34:59
O’hare for Adomah and Lansbury for Grealish would be my choice, hope we don’t start with Onomah again.

3.) 22 Feb 2018 21:48:33
Villa line up u23
VILLA: Sarkic; Borg, Finnerty, Walker, Clark; Blackett-Taylor, Doyle-Hayes, Clarke, Cox, Prosser; Knibbs. Subs: Boucher, Revan, Brunt, Odutayo, Ramsey.

4.) 22 Feb 2018 22:17:40
Don’t see why you’d leave out the two main players, they have to be involved Saturday otherwise it’s pointless.

5.) 23 Feb 2018 08:05:03
I have to agree. They surely will play some part on Sat.

6.) 23 Feb 2018 08:43:06
Johnson
Axel
Terry
Chester
Hutton
Jedi
O'hare
Lansbury
Thor
Grabban
Hogan

This is my team for Saturday
But got a feeling anomah will be in there somewhere,
Hope not.

7.) 23 Feb 2018 09:29:11
Who is the anomah you keep going on about?
Is he the love child of Adomah and Onomah?

8.) 23 Feb 2018 09:49:04
Flackie
I think you know who I mean?

9.) 23 Feb 2018 09:58:27
Grabban and Axel injured, personally I’d like to see
Johnstone,
Hutton, Chester, Terry, Taylor
Snodgrass Jedinak Hourihane O’hare
Lansbury
Hogan

Bunn, Elmo, Whelan, Bjarnson, Davies, Murphy.

10.) 23 Feb 2018 10:46:53
Is grabban and axel both out?
These injurys are really going to test us now
What's happening to all these players,
Tell little to get his boots On!

11.) 23 Feb 2018 11:18:20
Apparently Bruce is toying with the idea of a change in formation. Wonder what he is considering, 3 at the back?

----------Johnstone----------

--Chester---Terry---Jedinak--

Elmohamady-------------Hutton

----------Bjarnason----------

---Hourihane------Lansbury---

-----Hogan-------Grabban-----.

12.) 23 Feb 2018 11:38:19
My team:
O'hare x 11

Go on my son!

13.) 23 Feb 2018 11:53:00
I would go for 3 at the back,
Sheff wed play the same formation,
We have a lot of injurys just look at how many they have!
2-0 win for me.

14.) 23 Feb 2018 12:57:07
I would play a 4-4-2 attacking formation against Sheffield Wednesday tomorrow.

My team:
Johnstone
Hutton
Terry (captain)
Chester
Taylor
Snodgrass
Lansbury
Bjarnason
Green
Hogan
Grabban

Substitutes: Bunn, Bree, Tuanzebe, Hourihane, Onomah, O'Hare, Hepburn-Murphy.

If this formation is used tomorrow, then Villa could win.

15.) 23 Feb 2018 13:38:30
Think Greens injuries mate, and I like the 3 at the back especially when we’ve got Elmo and Hutton who both attack loads anyway, only thing is I never want to see Jedinak play centre back in my life again😂🙈.

16.) 23 Feb 2018 15:42:00
Villa to win
Cardiff draw
Derby win
Fulham win

That's my forecast bets this week/ end
I'm having £25 for the acc.

20 Feb 2018 22:18:49
A point is better than non however another error at the back is worrying and costly. Attitude and commitment from most the team in the first half was a disgrace, given the chance 7/ 11 of them should have been subbed. Seemed to improve second half, Bruce was pro-active and the subs made a difference. Ref was abysmal, gifting us the penalty in the second half probably still doesn't balance the amount of decisions he gave against us. Onomah shouldn't be anywhere near the first team, ability is average, decision making is shocking, holds onto the ball for too long and attitude stinks. Tuanzebe got ran all over the shop and hogan for all his effort and commitment hindered us tonight, took a header off grabbans head who was in a much better position and ballooned it over and missed a good chance. With the players who are fit the starting x11 bar Onomah was the best we had available, you can't magic players out of thin air. That being said their are no excuses for the weekend, O'hare should be in the number 10 role, Grabban on instead of Onomah, keep hogan up top. Hepburn Murphy and Davis on the bench, wouldn't mind seeing Hutton back at right back and Taylor at left back, he was out of form so was took out, now Elmo is unfit and out of form and tuanzebe didn't perform the best tonight he deserves his chance to prove himself again. Injuries are crippling us and if Snodgrass is injured aswell we are in more trouble but there's still some options.

17 Feb 2018 17:33:48
2 key players out, playing away from home against one of the form teams, better team first half but came unstuck second. It just wasn't our day, we could have gone a little more attacking maybe 2 up top but then if we lost we'd get slated for being naive. We've just won 7 on the trot, don't get too high with the highs or too low with the lows, promotion is still firmly in our hands and we go again Tuesday hopefully with the main men back.

UTV.

2.) 17 Feb 2018 21:43:24
Will be a few twists and turns before end of season yet to come! Welll done 7 wins in a row and beaten by a good side with two of our key players out! Roll on PNE and getting back to winning ways UTV.

It would be awful to see you play a 442, pressing high with a high tempo against a team with no defeats in 17 games watching them absolutely dominate with 3 in the middle and pace in abundance and see us lose 3/ 4 nil, but it would be good to see your excuses after. I’m guessing it would be “but we played O’hare I don’t know how we haven’t won”, or maybe “we’re Aston Villa we should smash everyone, no team in this league is fit to wipe our backside”.
