Even though it's been rumoured for ages about Martinez, I'm still disappointed in him . Obviously he's only, if he goes, going for money, all that BS about wanting to win things with Villa . Maybe not the only one unhappy, reading between the lines, Mings said, it's up to the ones who want to stop here . Obviously something has gone on behind the scenes, that we don't know about . UTV

Dave as soon as I read Mings comments we knew things weren't rosy in the garden. Perhaps last night and the new signing will be the catalyst to get back to where we were, something has to change and Emery needs to adapt to a different style, currently it simply isn't acceptable.

I’m hearing Utd getting that Belgian keeper (Lammens? ) instead of Emi (???) and he could be off to Turkey

Casting aside all of the click bait reporting and usual summer media circus, do we actually have any reliable information to indicate Martinez has been the one pushing for a move as opposed to the club trying to move him on or it just being an agent causing a fuss? If not, I'd suggest reserving judgement before turning Villa Park back into a negative space for any players. I'm as frustrated as the next supporter that we haven't been able to kick on this summer and that regulations are set to stifle our ambition, but as a fan base we can either sulk and point fingers without any clue of what's actually happening behind the scenes or get behind the club and play our part in driving the team on to meet the challenge. Each to their own, but I'm pretty sure one will be more conducive to an enjoyable season than the other.

Going by Emerys response, when ask about Martinez, he was certainly well PI#%+ED off .

Being annoyed with the frustration and distraction of ongoing speculation/retstrictions is very different to being angry with an individual. I don't know the truth behind it all either, I'm just suggesting that reserving judgement until being in possession of all of the facts is probably wiser at this stage, and certainly better than turning on our own players and hampering whatever chance we have of relative success this season. Be the 12th man and a supporter or don't, it's your call.

Unfortunately we will never know all the facts, people will judge on what they have seen and it 100% looks and sounds like he was pushing for the move, I wish he had of went at this point cause I can see it just causing problems now and there will be more speculation in January
