I just want to know what do the villa community expect from the new boss, instant results, Europe maybe or just to steady the ship.

Welcome Phonix for me it's going to take 2-3 years to compete with the top 6 a whole new team behind the scenes and a few new players to compensate our young team so for me steadying the ship is needed for this season as January as we know all transfer prices get out of hand.This is a great selection in manager for me and hopefully he will bring along with him 2 or 3 players form the La Lisa.

Hi Phonixdad, I am hoping for an improvement in consistency. No more collapsing. I hope for a top half finish and good cup runs, as we all do. But that is a hope, not an expectation. So long as we don't go backwards, I am happy to stick with UE for the long haul. After all it's the first proper manager we have had in years.

I agree steadying the ship is the number one priority I think Emery has a number of key things in his in tray. He needs to restore the confidence in the squad, establish a way of playing for the team and what his best XI is. He then needs to assess the squad identify where we need strengthening and then target the players that will improve us. Normally assessing the strengths of the squad over a couple of months wouldn’t be a problem but with no matches because of the World Cup Emery won’t be able to do that in a competitive setting which isn’t ideal but he is going to have to do the best he can. Even though he is a top rate coach getting us to be competitive at the top end of the premiership is going to take time.

steady the ship,work out who he wants and who needs to go,also as fans we need to be patient and let work and build this team up again because let's face it there's not a lot of quality players in this team,as long as we decent football with a gameplan and give youth ago i'd be happy,and teams giving 100percent every week that will do me,overall we got a quality manager who is going to need time and patience,will he get it time will tell but he has got my backing i thought emery was out our reach,i do think it the biggest appointment since oneil .UTV

I agree with steading the ship and to be fair as long as we turn up for the 90 mins and draw / lose i don't like it but accept it, i'm just a bit concerned with the ammount of money that the owners have pumped into villa, when will be enough for them to say enough is enough.

Given what they have invested to get Emery on board I don’t think that’s likely to happen anytime soon, but I do understand the concern.
