Isn’t it very risky to put all our cards on Suzuki - a goalkeeper we haven’t tested together with our team and in the Premier League and then have only Bizot (who is really lousy) as backup. We get such a small fee for Emiliano Martinez (provocatively low) so why not keep him as backup goalkeeper - or use one Suzuki in the Premier League and Martinez in the Champions League? The wages cannot make such a significant importance that we want to risk opening up our goal - especially with our lack of center defenders.

Emi is on £120k week, so it'll save £6m. Plus, we get £7.5m, so that's £13.5m to back in the pot. And, to be fair to him, he's been fantastic for us, so to put him as no.2 wouldn't be right.

I think, after Jackson is confirmed, we've got £60m left to spend if we want to have 0 net spend this transfer window.

We don't need zero net spend. Incomings are spread over the length of the contract. It's the wages we needed to sort out, and we have done that pretty well.
