Caleb Chukwuemeka has joined 😁

Now question is what will be on the back of his shirt if his brother features in the same game?

1.) 16 Aug 2021 18:02:23
Moms 1st born?

2.) 16 Aug 2021 22:55:43
I'd like to see Chucky 1 / Chucky 2 😁.

3.) 17 Aug 2021 06:02:23
That would be Childs Play.

31 Jan 2020 23:39:11
Christ. we rejected a deal for Odion Ighalo.

1.) 01 Feb 2020 07:56:28
Yes at £100,000 a week!
I wouldn’t have wanted him at that price.

2.) 01 Feb 2020 19:17:50
If he scores goals he’d be worth more than that imo.

New day, new story.
Carney refusing to sign a new contract as he believes his future is better elsewhere. (Times)

This past year has been the most I've seen the villa and it's players mentioned in the papers.

So good or bad - it gets people talking about us
But to the opening statement - what do you think. Wil SG push him further into the 1st team especially when we lose players for AFCON

1.) 27 Nov 2021 01:55:04
Could just imagine the fall out if he now signs for Liverpool.

2.) 27 Nov 2021 10:12:17
I guess time will tell whether this is just more lazy journalism or something more concrete lies behind these stories. Interesting to read the rumours which are circulating around us spending big on 2 potential targets in January, I think we all get the defensive midfielder most of us have been crying out for someone of that ilk for some time so I understand that, what I don’t get is the urgency for a centre back and certainly not one who would cost circa £45 million plus (Pau Torres) who whilst a decent player on the ball is not the quickest. If we buy him for that kind of money he goes straight into the first team I presume in place of Mings which I have no doubt would unsettle him and we would lose his undoubted leadership qualities and I don’t see an obvious replacement when it comes to a captain either, whereas I would rather we spend big on a left back to challenge Targett who is very much hit and miss at the moment.

3.) 27 Nov 2021 13:56:10
If Mings cuts his mistakes out he is as good as anything that would be available in January so i wouldn't waste money there. Left back is a good call along two quality midfield players especially if Dougies agent gets his client a move to Europe.

Shakespeare gone.
They must have someone lined up to be announced quite soon

26 Aug 2021 15:28:01
So when was the last time Birmingham mail actually first reported and were correct that we were interested and signed someone?
Im think it was Unsworth, and that turned out well.

17 Aug 2021 00:10:53
Does anyone know who was in the squad on Sunday against Liverpool?
We lost 4-1 but I've not seen anything from a villa perspective on who played or who scored.

1.) 17 Aug 2021 08:09:02
Can’t find a team sheet but I know Hause, Hourihane and Traore played. I’m pretty sure Targett and Ramsey played, I’ve seen on of the Liverpool goals and Hause gets turned inside out by Neco Williams who then finishes brilliantly, but as the camera pans away I’m pretty sure it’s Targett and Ramsey showing.

2.) 17 Aug 2021 13:25:52
Traore went off injured again, they say he could be out for a few weeks again, just what we need .

05 Aug 2021 14:40:31
With McPhee being appointed bas Set piece coach (strange role) do you think he's actually been bought in for the Jap language skills as well?
Muto is without a team since leaving Newcastle and Liverpool are favouring loan (poss sale) of Minamino - who was on loan at Southampton last season.

1.) 05 Aug 2021 15:46:26
I’d say probably not.

You always see a paper wrote about a prem manager on the way out when someone from Europe is doing the same.
This time it's Ronald Koeman
Wouldn't be a bad addition to the staff.

Don't know how I feel about that.
We all know what's going to happen.

Dad says I can play football
He'll then get called in for tea.
Takes his ball home with him
Screws it up for the rest of us.

Is Raj Kingy in disguise?
He Normally pops up about now.

To answer your question, if it's reported in the Birmingham mail OR has any former Villa player making a comment it's probably 99% untrue.

If multiple sources and quotes from agents - then it's probably 75% untrue.

Villa have been doing deals closed doors, so until it's announced its untrue.

Out of the rangers team I'd like to see Barisic, Aribo and of course be good to see then name Bacuna back in a Villa shirt.

Lundstrum is same age as Young, but his knowledge and experience could help.

Hardly call the likes of Benfica, Porto, Feyenoord, Royal Antwerp and Sparta Prague part timers.

He's been doing something right at Rangers if he didn't the hairy Highlanders would have lynched him ages ago.

No one's ever going to be happy who ever is appointed.

His style of play with a favourable 4-3-3 will suite our team and will be a great relief to all those moaning that Smith should not have played a loan striker.

When people say there are plenty of managers with Premier League experience you have to think ok why are they out of work - because they couldn't do the job at their previous club?

Gerrard is the unknown, however he does bring years and knowledge of both attacking and defensive midfield - something that we have have been lacking for way too long.

You don't get where you are on a whim.
We've long argued if rangers would cut it in the prem (they'd probably be a top half team) but when you look at Gerrards stats it says a lot for the man.
Europa League: P30, W12, D10
Europa League Qual: P21, W14 D7
Socts Prem: P107, W76 D21
(Martinez won 6 out of 10 Europa with Everton and 81 out of 265 prem games only slightly better win ratio in prem)

If you want someone with European experience, Gerrard does fit that bill. However don't forget (don't think anyone can) our last managers with European experience came in the form of Bruce (didn't make it past Qualifiers) and Di Matteo (last 16 with Schalke).

Steven Gerrard would bring Gary MC Alistair back (was under Houlier)

I still would like to see Valverde, sure it was him that kicked off when Barcelona sold Barry as he wanted to build around him and a week later Barcelona sacked him.
