Conor Hourihane done deal :-)

Rich.B.

1.) 26 Jan 2017 11:58:29
This Is without a doubt the best signing we have made in recent times

2.) 26 Jan 2017 12:18:16
"Barnsley Football Club can confirm that Conor Hourihane has joined Aston Villa after both clubs agreed an undisclosed fee for the midfielder. Following months of transfer speculation surrounding the Reds captain, the Irishman has signed a three-and-a-half year contract at Villa Park"

3.) 26 Jan 2017 12:57:00
Well done the Dr and SB very good business done 👏

4.) 26 Jan 2017 13:38:34
Along with Bjarnason, this has been a bloody good transfer window, however there are quite a few more cars at bodymoor than usual so maybe some more?

5.) 26 Jan 2017 14:22:05
2 more before deadline. winger and striker with tish and few others going out on loan

6.) 26 Jan 2017 16:04:11
Nice 1 Brucey and Dr Tony 👍🏻 Who's next then? If McC and Ayew leave, I'd go all in for Hogan, then we're going up

UTV

7.) 26 Jan 2017 16:06:52
Well done to the dr and his staff,
For me this is the best transfer window for many years,
Really pleased with all the signing made,
And we have not spent a fortune to get them either
I love this owner of ours
He does say mad things but that's why the fans are warming to him,
He has the club at heart and long may it continue

25 Jan 2017 11:45:38
Bree has signed a four and a half year deal :-)

24 Jan 2017 18:58:45
Birkir Bjarnason has agreed to join Aston Villa

Rich.B.

1.) 24 Jan 2017 19:37:06
Great, Once he has signed send him over to Swansea to talk Gylfa Sigurðsson to sign aswell.

2.) 24 Jan 2017 20:10:01
Assuming he's the one I think he is, I think this is a great bit of business. He impressed me in the Euros and I thought then he's been ideal for us
From having the worst midfield in the division we look like having the best, in the space of one transfer window!
Remarkable

3.) 24 Jan 2017 20:27:38
Yer man birkin looks quite handy, has steve round actually unearthed us another gem, well done sir, glad to see your aboard the good ship Villa, it all seems to be going so well, what am i missing!

4.) 24 Jan 2017 21:06:51
I'll be honest I only saw his goal vs Portugal in the euros, anyone know if he played vs us when they just worked like horses and knocked us out? Looks a decent player need to get all these over the line now though.

5.) 24 Jan 2017 22:09:57
After watching a few videos of him I must say he looks very useful, having a midfield with plenty of goals and creativity in them can make a massive difference which in turn will also create space for our frontmen and Steve Bruce is certainly building himself one :-)

6.) 24 Jan 2017 22:24:39
Chris, he played in all the games for Iceland, so yes.

7.) 25 Jan 2017 10:28:37
Well at least we know his a work horse first and foremost.

8.) 25 Jan 2017 20:46:05
Absolutely. Assuming he plays left side of midfield, he'll give Amavi some much needed protection as well

23 Jan 2017 20:09:54
James Bree done deal :-)

just been reading that we have made contact about signing Cheikh Ndoye from Angers SCO, I would love to tell you something about him but to be honest I have never heard of him.

Rich.B.

1.) 16 Aug 2016 10:52:43
He got into the Ligue 1 TOTS (team of the season) last year but that's as far as I know.

I'm saying if Mc goes before the end of the window we will sign Jordan Rhodes, thoughts?

Rich.B.

1.) 25 Jan 2017 21:32:02
I hope not, rhodes has made it be known he favours wednesdays' brand of football, so if he ain't happy coming here, he can stumble on somewhere else, seeing as he's having such a stellar career so far, what with proving he can cut it in the prem. and all that!

16 Aug 2016 19:04:37
Just heard that we have put a bid in for Joe Hart who is on the bench yet again, just kidding lads but I thought I would get it in before the Birmingham Mail Lol.

Rich.B.

05 Aug 2016 21:59:30
Just been reading Aston Villa have submitted a bid for Crystal Palace midfielder Mile Jedinak, what do you think lads?

Rich.B.

1.) 05 Aug 2016 23:20:46
Jeepers, jedinak would be absolutely a spiffing signing, but if we get hernandez, it would seem we may sell ayew to the hammers, doing the math that means hernandez will cost us 2 mill, good business me thinks!

2.) 06 Aug 2016 08:09:48
Don't wanna piss on everyone's chips but Hernandez was a joke in the Prem, if we're thinking further than this season

UTV.

3.) 06 Aug 2016 08:58:37
But the big glaring point is mate, we are not in the prem
Need to deal with the season at hand before the possible one after.

4.) 06 Aug 2016 09:27:01
Fair enough Flackie

UTV.

5.) 06 Aug 2016 17:21:46
Don't forget how poor Angel looked in his first 6 months in Premiership. It takes some acclimatising.

6.) 07 Aug 2016 02:42:27
Agreed mendax, also how many games did Hernandez play in the prem? Not many as far as I can remember.

23 Jul 2016 15:24:30
There seems to be some for and some against concerning Ravel Morrison so here is my spin. Yes the man has issues and could be seen as a risk player but wasn't Luis Suárez also seen as a risk when he signed for Liverpool, I know he remained a bad lad but he also did a lot of good for Liverpool during his time there and even now he remains one of the most deadliest of strikers in football and who can tell me that you would not like to see him in claret and blue?

Rich.B.

1.) 23 Jul 2016 17:45:45
I wouldn't like to see him in a villa shirt.
However, I do see your point!
I personally think he is worth a chance.

2.) 23 Jul 2016 18:12:29
For another club, you know, like one not totally brimming over with dickheads, Morrison might be worth a punt. When you still have Bacuna, Gabby and Lescott your focus needs to be on getting idiots out the door rather than weighing up the risk of bringing another one in
Sorry, this potential transfer is wrong on too many levels for me.

3.) 23 Jul 2016 18:29:44
That's a great point, however if he gets rid of the nobs, then it might be a stroke of genius. Or suicide!

4.) 23 Jul 2016 20:33:03
That's a big if though Flackie
I'd still prefer no knobs at all. We've all worked with them. It only takes one to upset the environment you are trying to work in.

5.) 24 Jul 2016 01:19:09
Fair point mate.

6.) 24 Jul 2016 05:25:19
Could the same gripe not be leveled at Grealish - Young lad acts immature. I don't see anyone calling for him to be sold. let's face it, we aren't in a good position right now so if we want a higher calibre of player they are going to come with baggage. If RDM thinks he can get him to fall in line then it could be a fantastic shout.

7.) 24 Jul 2016 10:58:22
Yes mate, it could be levelled at Grealish. That's exactly my point. We have more than enough of them already.

19 Jul 2016 03:11:17
I'm just hoping for at least one new striker of substance within the next two weeks but would prefer a couple. I think it's vital that we have good striking options for the up coming long campaign which is also going bring injuries. Yes a stable defence and solid mid-field is important but goals win games so i feel we need a reliable strike force that can find the net.

But on the other hand if he is not in Steve Bruce's plans then there may be some truth in it but i would only see this happening if there is a quality player out there who Steve would prefer more than Jack.

In my opinion this one is a rubbish story Class82 I can only say that boro would like to sign Messi and Ronaldo too but there is little chance of that also :-)

I would say that Bruce is already working on a lone deal and if Ross McCormack leaves he would purchase Rhodes in addition to his lone deal, I don't think Rhodes could possibly be as bad as McCormick as been in fact Doug Ellis would have done a better job up front and he would of at least turned up.
