Another couple players we are linked with Vidic and a midfielder from Celtic Stefan Johansen, seems we are going to be linked with every possible player available with no positive out come getting a bit tiresome and frustrating now, a meeting to discuss transfers was called during the transfer window why this was left so late is beyond me and now I read they are discussing who the new makers of next seasons kit is going to be (some U/ S company) is it me? or should the survival in the premiership be the top agenda and recruitment of the so called players who could help the club battle for survival. Yes I understand the club must make money but surely survival is of up most importance but it just seems to me those above seem to be resided to preparing for life in the championship, we are not down yet there is no red R next to our name so I think a few fingers need to be pulled out let's have more positive action and a lot less links we only have 16 games left WE CAN SURVIVE!

Looking at the prem table and our fixtures trying to see if anywhere it's possible to gain enough points to get out this mess we are in but all I see is ifs and maybe's even Houdini would struggle with this one short of the worlds greatest miracle I only see one direction (no pun intended) also I can't see who would want to come to the villa knowing that 99.9% we will be in the championship next season so I guess there is a possibility of another influx of foreign players who I guess will need bedding in etc. Well we are in the hands of the footballing gods now let's hope they are good to us! (Was thinking maybe a short video should be made of all the matches we played to date and set to the song Bring On The Clowns) As hard as it is heads up lads VTID.

A month ago I saw critisism aimed at fellow supporters being negative about our survival chances. We'll post Christmas period don't think anyone will knock anyone saying that's it we're championship bound. We can all be villa through and through but if this were not our beloved club what would we say?! If it were Everton in this mess we would all say a great club, ever present in PL with good following but farewell to PL with 8 points at this stage. Will hate being in lower league but will be no less passionate about our great club. As for the remainder of the season let's not boo the players and manager but instead vent our outrage of this situation to the clueless leadership over the last 4 seasons with lack of investment and poor management appointments making us an even less attractive place to tempt new players to come and best players to stay. VTID.

I see some radio pundits jumping on the bandwagon saying RG is the wrong choice and should of gone for pearson or rodgers, personally i think the right choice has been made and don't think he will do any worse than anyone else personally i think come febuary we will be sitting ok in the prem!

Agree with Ged but surely anybody would have been better than Tim Sherwood. he lost the dressing room, lost players confidence, and his own belief and confidence at that. he aged 10 yrs in 4 games and personally the Leicester result did it.
going by some fans on here talking about Grealish, he's not the same player, totally agree but why all the bs about him being warned or maybe fined over the summer break. okay so he does some degree of acting but we've all done it, well some.
maybe that's had a detrimental affect on him. players need support which breeds confidence and maybe the whole team are not getting it. maybe when Sherwood first came in, he was like one of the lads, and then things changed I think.
Anyway, my dream for the weekend is that Snake returns from injury (as possibly reported), comes on to hostile reception (obviously), villa get a corner he score a goal, 3 minutes later, off hamstring gone lol. villa go on to win narrowly, start of the Garde revolution. what a dream.

I just think and i'm hoping that RG will bring us something different having worked with the younguns at lyon etc he seems to be just what we need and maybe he can kick start our summer signings and to be honest I just got a good feel factor about him I think he will kick there arses they need someone with attitude and not be molly coddled, i'm not expecting miricles straight away but i'm hoping they show some grit on sunday and the promise of things to come!

Watching TV and it's looking more like garde will be the manager seems they are working on the backroom staff, it seems he is keen on the posistion but how soon he will be appionted (if) is anybodys guess i just wish they would hurry up and put me out my missery this is he or is'ant he, is stressing me out, let's get someone in geeze!

Gentlemen, the passion, the verve, the unwavering belief in what is good, but that's enough about my fried bentos pie i've just put on for me dinner, i'm loving all the players people are mentioning, but priority has to be a goalkeeper, and our defence, those are the positions we need to spend big money on, (house and foundations you know the drill), from midfield upwards, surely loan deals are the way forward (with deals to buy them when promoted), we save some sheckles and thus can go for that striker we need.
i understand magnusson is one of those, but 3+ other championship clubs sniffing around too, with the money we could save on lion deals, we can pay a bigger fee and better wages for him, and still stay within the FFP guidelines, this is where the canny jock steve clarke will show his wheeling and dealing streak, rdm sticking to his chelski contacts and lazio contacts (shalke-not sure) to hopefully nab a few jems, i hate to say it, but we need to use our financial clout to bully clubs into selling (loaning) us players, feel bad about this kind of way of doing business, but priority is get the heck out of this league asap.

I can't help but wonder where is any of the board through all this, not one has come out with a statement as to why we never signed anyone apart from the obvious no one wanted to sign for a nearly relegated club why wasn't RG given the funds as promised to sign at least a striker instead of refusing to pay the money out on transfers or loan deals? well I guess they are hiding waiting for it all to calm down hoping it will all go away then try and fob us off with will bounce straight back WELL how about not going down in the first place you bunch of morons? . (I hope he dont) but RG will walk once he see's what his budget is for the summer and how they have no desire or ambition then we will end up with a two bit yes man of a manager. Just a little over 12 days left some outs but not one in, very very frustrating clubs above and around the relegation area all spent on new additions, all i have heard/ read is we are linked with this player that player we are in talks with this one or that one but alas. anything positive? Nope same old villa dragging there feet again ending up with the slops, wouldn't surprise me if the powers that be have said "oh look we're on a good run we don't need anyone". heard we would have someone before the Wycombe game and now its before the tesco game. I can see last minute scrambles for the dregs?

Think we going to need a little bit more than 20 mill for the championship, with 40+ games not counting any cup games/ runs we maybe lucky enough to be in, practicly 2 games per week so I'd think lot more would have to be spent on re building.

agree with all you have said and don't forget that had remi got his choice of players maybe we would still be in the prem who knows but alas dear yorath we have been shafted by everyone including players so as you say onwards and upwards hoping the new appointment don't drag on too long. Seems some of these so called signings are already turning us down so I wouldn't hope for to much might get ones with a clause in that IF we go down they can move on in the summer or freebies to use us to show they still have something to offer teams who ever remi gets in I hope they commit and fight for survival to the bitter end.

First of all may I wish everyone a happy 2016 in your private lives and in your villa lives and hope the future gets brighter whether that be up or down, just want to say regards the Norwich game there first goal if you watch Micah Richards he physically looks over his shoulder at Howson and yet still does not go and cover him for me had he gone over and closed him down the goal would never have been so who is to blame? Now I read he has been moaning on twitter because someone saying he is a far better RB with his pace and would benefit himself and the team going forward seems to me he only came to us if he didn't have to play at RB. If I was Remi I would say that's your position IT'S A TEAM EFFORT OR YOU WILL BE RB ON THE BENCH!

I heard/ read that personal terms was the reason hernandez hasn't signed but although a bit pricey am pleased with kodija couple more signings and it will be onwards n upwards, do think we will require cover upfront through the ACN as our strikers will be away Rhodes would be nice but guess we can all dream

Went on the tour for me burfday was only me n the mrs there lol but was enjoyable, know what you mean about the music made the hairs stand up on back me neck ( got none on me ed )

'haven't slated him here just wanted what ever was to be to hurry up so we can get back on track get things sorted get rid of the rubbish and start to stamp our authority on the championship and to show em were just passing through on our way to europe, but yea you are right there will be doubters you get them in all walks of life just like brexit you get told loads of crap by the papers and people believe it etc but that's life, me i believe england to win the euro's britain to blitz the eu and my beloved villa to be back in the prem 2017

Well put flackie totaly agree the last 4/ 5 seasons have been dire we have now paid the price, was the same when RG came couple games later some was screaming for his head the poor bloke didn't have any funds and had about 7/ 8 retards to contend with who knows what he could have done with the right backing however as you say the past is past let's move on get behind DR X and whoever he appoints as manager and push on back to the prem where we belong no more bleating about what was or could of been let the new boys sort out the retards europe here we come!
