After hearing Villa linked with Brentford striker Igor Thiago in Jan transfer, he definitely knows where the net is, big strong forward who could be ideal for the Villa. The only problem is with the amount that he's scoring he will cost a fortune but we definitely need another striker.
Unfortunately Watkins is having a mare of a season and Malen looks good when he comes on or starts but he's not an out and out striker plus we should always have options for every position

Going to be a nightmare just getting into the ground on Thursday, just heard that there will be several ticket checks in the surrounding area just to get near the ground. How long is that going to take? Bet loads of fans will miss the start

Wonder how many of the new Villa fans we had at the Maccabi game will be at the game Thursday? Heard that West Mids police reckon that it cost £2 million to police that game, they should charge the people who arranged the protest as they reckon that the police was only present to protect their safety, as long as Villa don't have to the extra cost

The people who are organising the protests should have to pay towards the cost of policing it, if they actually want to peacefully protest then surely it would be in their best interests to be policed or controlled safely.
But as you say, politics should be nowhere near any sporting event and the organisers should stop putting videos of themselves on social media wearing Villa shirts and standing outside VP as if trying to connect themselves with the football club

Apparently Akhmed Yakoob, the wannabe MP who is up for money laundering, has been all over social media saying that he has been arranging a protest and expects 300,000 people to turn up. I don't know if the police are trying to stop this or how they could control it, plus I imagine there will be counter protesters there also.
Nobody would want to expose there family or kids to all that so I imagine that there will be quite a reduced crowd, that's if the game goes ahead in the first place. I think it's outrageous that people will try to hijack a supposedly community event just to serve their own purposes and agendas

You are delusional if you think that anyone better than Unai will come to the Villa, look what has been achieved in the nearly 3 years he's been here. The entitlement of some people on this site that Villa should be winning everything is astonishing. Due to financial regulations its going to be a long process. You only have to listen to Emery in interviews to see how passionate and committed to the club he is and that players love playing for him and that he can attract other players that previously we wouldn't have a cat in hells chance of attracting.UTV.
