I noticed that yesterday we seemed to be playing a 4-1-4-1 formation and with Leicester finding space to pass through us it was not the best formation to use. Deano prefers 4-3-3 and pre lockdown stumbled upon 4-2-3-1 which suited our team perfectly. It suits the players that we have and helps our weaknesses. Deano is doing everything that he's required to do regarding our progress, so fair play but with who we have in the squad at the moment, I think 4-2-3-1 is the way to go. Any thoughts?

Hi pride, that I the formation we started with. Mcginn got pushed up in support when we were chasing the game.
I actually think the 4-1-4-1 suits us better if Doug stays disciplined in his defensive cover. Too often he wanders forward and gets bypassed, he's much better deep.

He was miles out of position for the Maddison goal to be honest, lost a bit of discipline the last few weeks.

Hi, I agree and that is why we needed 2 in there Luiz and a n other to help/ cover him. If we had a player who was more disciplined then great, but we don't, hence the point of this formation because he is what we have.
