Bizot man of the match, closely followed by Konsa, Pau, Kamara, Ginny, Buendia and Maatens . Guestand once again showed some nice touches, big and strong, just wish he was a bit more committed when shooting .
Rogers needs an eye check, his passes are completely off, once again if the ball was nailed to his boot, he would still loose it .Ollie just completely off it, as bad as Rogers for not holding the ball up . Malan showed what a difference it made, when a forward did it . Some of the play at times was back to being fast one touch, just not enough. Emery must be glad that Buendia didn't go, his goal was a beauty, also he's the only one matching Ginny with effort and commitment.

Bizot up there but Kamara my MotM. Bouba was absolutely world class tonight with tackles, dribbling and passes all on point.
I feel like Rogers is getting better, he's back to getting past people and driving through the middle, just needs to stop trying the Hollywood pass when the simple one is just as good an option.

Agree with most, I thought maatsen could of done more going forward, to keen to turn and go backwards in my opinion, he’s got the pace and when he used it he looked dangerous but just didn’t do it enough, keep the results coming and hopefully the performances will get to where we know these players can get to

I personally thought Konza was man of the match by a mile, but the fun is we all watch a slightly different game. Lots of saves from Bizot but very few you wouldn't expect from an average prem keeper. Not a criticism, just an observation. The entire defensive unit deserve great credit for keeping us in the match while our forward players were largely underperforming. I made this point last year and stand by it still now - despite a lot of fan critisism focussing on the defence, Emery is doing a great job (points wise) whilst simultaneously not (yet) addressing our play in the final third where we don't maintain a threat.or possession, consistently when compared to other 'top 6 contenders'.
Very few clubs have a positive straight line in trajectory and we're no different. We've now reached the point where, after several years of upward mobility we're probably going to plateau slightly and see if we can make the next big step to go from overachiever to 'permanent' resident, which is almost as big a jump as Championship to Prem survivors, but it's one that will take a lot of unity and focus, especially given PSR restrictions and the competitive landscape.
Enjoy each win, don't melt down at each run of bad form. Enjoy the now, critique with a broad lens, it's just more enjoyable.
