If we are to have any chance of finishing in the automatic CL places I think we have to win our next 3 PL matches, Forest, Southampton and Newcastle.

I'm curious to hear people's view on what would be a great season for villa, I personally think how deep in the cups we are and if we get europa league then that's a good season, we were lucky to get champs league last year.

Welcome Phonixdad for me I've said many a time on here if we finish 10th and no European place next season it's been 1 hell of a season with some amazing results a season where we have all had some great memories.Yet it's still not over and we could again next season see the same as this UTV.

Top8 and win fa cup would be a great season, but it we get 5th and win facup then its an amazing season

It seems to be a flip of last season, after Xmas we were inconsistent as and had plenty of injuries and scraped through to CL, this season been up and down before Xmas, since Xmas improved the squad with quality and virtually injury free, I think we could win FA Cup, get 4th/5th, and who knows, win the CL, we have the manager that knows how to win European trophies, dare to dream… ??

I’d have to agree with you allstar72. at this point anything is possible this season. for me a great season for us would be to win the fa cup or finish in the top 5. Winning the champions league would be an unbelievable season, and I have no words to describe winning both the fa cup and the champions league.
Where we are now ie fa cup semi and champions league quarter final and sitting in a European place, if it were to finish like this you would have to say it was a very good season, especially when you see how much we have benefited financially with prize money. I still think we can squeeze more from this season, players all fit and on a good run of results here’s hoping momentum can carry us that little bit further.

Think of the scenario that if we got to the CL final, but already qualified for next season in 4th/5th, pressure would be off, could be something to work in our favour, along with (for most) a once in a lifetime opportunity for our players, getting ahead of myself lol but you’ve got to dream
