ssn cleverly loan for rest of season
1.) He has 12 months left on Man Utd contract so he is playing for his next big move which hopefully will benefit us this season.
2.) He has signed on loan for the season with a 6 month break clause in January, so does this mean he can go back to united then?
02 Sep 2014 11:29:16
hearing cleverly was still at villa park until8pm, when he shot off to everton, last ditch efforts to force the deal, were unusually scuppered by cleverleys agent telling him he SHOULD take villa up and sign for them.
1.) 02 Sep 2014 14:20:56
I just read we could still get cleverly on loan. How this work guys?
2.) He's signed for a season, its cause the paperwork was almost completed and villa applied to the premier league for more time just like Arsenal did.

no players of note coming ib to villa park its a rerun of the winter window with the usual derisory coverage from the media who constantly disrespect the biggest and most famous club outside London and the north west rant over
1.) 01 Sep 2014 14:59:25
Will be a bid in for Sergio Canales he's an attacking winger from Real Sociadad. Decent player!
2.) 01 Sep 2014 15:35:03
If I remember correctly Canales also spent some time on loan at QPR. An exciting AM with a decent free kick. Great potential and the right age I'd say now for villa. If I had to choose between cleverly and Canales I would opt for Canales for sure. If it got to midnight and villa had signed Defoe and Canales I would be extremely happy and would have to thank Lambert / Lerner - fingers crossed!

Canales deal going through. my mate in Spain telling me that the spanish website Marca are reporting its done.
I don't understand it though. because Cleverly's deal is hanging in the balance because of wages. 4 players are leaving because of it. so where will Canales & Cleverlys wages come from??
4.) Conales has never left Spain, plagued by injuries after his move to Real Madrid. Not a prolific goal scorer but a real talent, comfortable on the ball and can take on a player or 3. Real excited about this one!
5.) You are quite right peterwithein - my memory was letting me down. I was getting him confused with Esteban Granero.
6.) No go!Canales had turned down the offer from Villa to stay in Spain. Gutted about that one.

TV reporting villa close to wrapping up a deal for alex chisoko who played 15 games for Liverpool last season, from valencia
1.) Aly not alex! Decent signing I think, reports around the £2million mark.
PL can't be planning to use Richardson at left back then if this is the case?which makes sense as I think he's better further forward.
2.) I thought he played at centre back for Liverpool?
Vlaars replacement?
3.) If Cissokho is to join Richardson could be deployed as a centre midfielder as he has played there before. But I'm guessing he won't be Number 9. So my question is who are we signing who will become our number 9?
4.) Sorry Mendax way off he was used as either right or left wing back
5.) Mendax, perhaps you are mixing him up with Sakho who is still at Liverpool and plays centre back?
6.) Yep, that's the fellah. Cheers mate
Oh no, does this mean I have to confess to being wrong on something!
{Ed007's Note - SSsshhh... you might get away with it. I can delete posts, for a small 'administration' fee of course ;)
7.) Why would you think Richardson would be a number 9? Never played in that position as far as I know. Our number 9's are Benteke and Kozac (once they are fit)
8.) The no. 9 shirt is vacant. but that means sweet fa so who really cares.
9.) I will never believe another word mendax says, for me you're in the same folder as kingvilla!
10.) Cheers Brynner, you know how to spoil someone's weekend
Thanks for your generous offer Ed.
11.) Cissokho did play CB for Liverpool last season on a few occasions and he's played CB many times for Lyon, I'd expect him to play on the left of a 3 at the back.
>Scg87
12.) I knew I couldn't be wrong. not even by accident!
Thanks for putting things straight Scg87
13.) Cissokho will not play in a back three or a back two. He is a LB.

is paul lambert still the worst manager villa have had?, from the clean sheets, character shown, add the superb performances, especially from senderos, and the confidence it has brought to the rest of the side can only bode well bring on the gooners let's make villa park bounce the way it did in'81'.
relegation? no way
1.) 14 Sep 2014 19:37:06
Still not PL fan but if it was his idea to bring in RK, brill .as I think he's responsible ,being on the training field, also only Westwood left in the team from those rubbish buys from the previous 2 seasons

ssn -canals refuses villa move
01 Sep 2014 22:10:18
well just like the last window, an abject failure of the club to enhance the quality of the squad at villa, why? how is it that of palace, can get several in but us we are a perennial failure, who is to blame for this? somebody is, if money was there for cleverly, why not use it?we 're always told we'r elooking at a few 'things' by lambert, but its obvious sthese things don't actually exis t, time the club was honest to the supporters on the takeover, issue, playing staff, ground expansion or anything else
So what?
Does he need a lift?
Can go in the same bucket as cleverley
The whole cleverley saga simply reinforces the public idea of ht a fesional footballers is, greedy, overrated, self motivated, untrustworthyegotists pampered by any weak, insipideasily duped football club can fall prey to, ki, hoolahan, ki, cleverly, and more, WE ARE ASTON VILLA why are we snubbed by players who are generally generally, u nfit to represent us som me bo is failing in their job of talent to bring punters and money through the door
Pure fantasy
