Thoughts and prayers with Stillyan Petrov as he battles this illness. He was with Celtic for 7 years and played a huge part in our success and I have kept an eye on Villa ever since he went there, such is the regard I hold for the guy. God willing he will beat this.

I read that. at Mcleish's call, deferred new contract negotiations with Cuellar, Guzan & Heskey until the end of the season. Is this because Mcleish isn't confident that we will still be in the premiership ???
I can understand this stance with Heskey but both Cuellar and Guzan have proven their worth this season and we can't afford them to walk away on Bosman deals, as Friedel did last summer to become number on @ Spurs.

I dont understand why we havent been linked with berbatov he'll have 12 months extension on his contract at united so they get sum wonga out of the 30+ they paid for him. 4 mill tops.
In his last 61 apps most as a sub he has 30 goals which isnt too bad for nearlly two seasons. And he could link in with Benty, Ags and the Zog. Imagin tht!!!

randy lerner will bleed us dry. bent will be sold to liverpool in the summer for 22mil and also dunne, collins,warnock.heskey, and petrov will all leave. coming in if we get them will be robbie keane for around 1mil dann for collins plus 3 mil progremyak who on loan at fulham free the lad we already been told about free.wallece from rangers free. makoun will return off loan and be used. biggest spend will be on jermaine jones who was at blackburn for 5 mil. 9 mil spent 26 ish in. good work randy. team will look like this. given.hutton.cuellar.dann.wallece. bret whatever is name. makoun. jones. n zogbia. keane. pogremyak. then use gabby and the kids as and when.
Dont agree ! the best player we have is G Gardner ,he will play and then England if not for that injury he would have played a lot more.
I wouldn't say he's our best player, he's definitely our best young player.

i was one of the fans who thought there may be something in the qia takeover rumers but now we are signing free transfers ready for next season confirms to me we wont be. we will be stuck with same owner and same manager who will fail with his own squad of free past it or nether good enough players.why would we be signing frees if qia would be giving us prob 80 mil to spend on who we wanted. not happening worst luck.

There are strong indications that Randy Lerner is lining up a short list of possible replacements for Mcleish should results not go his way over the next ten days. Poyet is top of the list apparently with Curbishley and Keane as other possibles!
Villa fan living in the south, nr Brighton. Gus is also being watched by a few other clubs with ambition. He was a very clever player with a bit of style. Problem is that if 'Arry goes to the national side then Spuds will be looking in the direction of Brighton to bring a manager through the system. One thing in Villa's favour is that Spuds could look at Chris Hughton who has proved himself as a very adept young manager in recent seasons.
