Sky Sports quoting 30-40 million for Grealish.

I pray to god someone in the villa has a backbone to hold on to him if they don't make the price.

theres no point whatsoever in selling him for 15 if we aren't going to make the other 25 odd million too
better to keep him and take what's coming to us.

No way will levy pay 30-40 mill.
Think 20mill is the best we will get.

Not that I want to see him go but. I think Jack would be a good fit for Chelsea, especially if Hazard goes for silly money, his passport alone is worth the £15M being quoted, then add the cost of his talent which imo is £40M+

UTV.

Realistically will we go up without grealish etc?
Promotion with our best squad and a -10pts
Promotion with our u23s +whelan

Which is more likely?

Keep players take points and fine. If we keep jack and he's fit all season he will take us up. The boy is class and will go on to play at the very very top.

If we aren't going to make the 40 mill, which we won't at 12 for jack and 5 for chester etc then keep them and take the 10 point reduction?
That's the worst we can get, we might even get a warning.

If a takeover that seems to hoped of by a few on here comes about it would make sense to take the risk if they have the funds to keep us going and pay any fines we receive, I'm hearing jack is already gone unfortunately to spurs but if onomah come the other way we could have a ready made replacement granted nowhere near as influential but a replacement nethertheless.

i'd be willing to give him a go. I don't see what bruce can do more than he did but this time with a worse squad and mo money to spend.

i've believed for a long time that the problem at villa is an ethos problem, a lack of team identity. and i do not belive steve bruce is the manager to develop that. take a look at the reactions last season to use chasing the game; from the bench we just threw on more forwards, there was never an alteration of tactic to adjust to the game.

the most successful managers int he world are the ones who have a way of playing and the team buys into it. no team can simply have the best personel and make it work, similar to moyes at man utd.

we have exciting young players who play without fear, players that can change a game, instead we started many games with whelan on the bench. a proffessional but not one that will change the flow of the game.

bruces transfers have also been suspect, buying a right back when we have multiple (elmo), not buying a left back when we have only 1, hogan and grabban brought in and stifling hepburn-murphy and knibbs, onomah coming in instead of trusting in o'hare, or doyle-hayes.

look at the amount of money ploughed into so called experienced players instead of develping one of the most exciting u23 sides in the country.

the question the bruce supporters are omitting to consider, is how much money would bruce have needed to spend to improve that play off final side for the premier league? and who are these players?
