Slight positive being Duran, I would be starting him ahead of Bailey next match looks lively and strong

Poor performance from Villa so far, disappointing, but the Dias tackle in first half got the player before the ball and Bailey could have been through,at least a yellow but not even free kick given, also I have watched the penalty a few times and still cannot see anything other than a dive from Grealish

Given his age it's actually not a bad bit of business to sell Ings while we still could a decent fee for him, also a decent wage bill off the books, should never have bought him in the first place, especially now he just won't fit into the way Emery wants to play, let's hope for a good replacement that actually improves the front line

Ing’s average goal scoring stats whilst at Villa aren’t that dissimilar to Ollie’s - Ings is 1 in 3.7 whilst Ollie is 1 in 3.2. In his last 2 seasons at Southampton it was 32 goals is 67 games, so essentially 1 in 2. So it’s more likely it was formation/level of service that has been the problem rather than ability. I think he’ll fly at the Hammers. Meanwhile, based on the stats, is Ollie fit for purpose ?

Bailey has to be the most frustrating player I have seen, lost count of amount of games now he has wasted chances, whole team poor today, they thought they could just turn up and that would be enough, was really hoping for a good FA cup run this year to end the appalling recent record we have in this competition

Surely he is gone now, and the owners have to make some big decisions about if they are still invested in this club, if so then Purslow has to go as well, it was his appointment that anybody could see was a huge gamble, and you have to wonder why a club with so called ambitions would agree to that, ill advised, it all needs sorting quick else relegation is a stark reality

Why has Purslow got to go? Admittedly he got the Gerrard appointment wrong but if you look at his performance in the round, he has got more right than he has wrong, ie revamped the academy, overseen the plans for expansion of the ground, increased the turnover of the club, overseen our promotion and subsequent stabilisation in the premiership. People learn from mistakes they don’t need to be sacked for everyone they make. You need to look at there performance over time and Purslow has got more things right than he has wrong. I sometimes wonder if Jesus Christ was in charge at VP people would still find fault and want him out.

Brighton are a better team since Potter left, I'm not sure he is as good as people think

To be fair following Wenger was always going to be a tough gig, much like following Ferguson at man utd, the rest of his career to date is pretty impressive

This is true to a certain extent but Gerrard has made these players worse, you can see they are not happy playing for him, yes they should play for the club but so much comes from the manager as well, they were definitely not playing for him tonight, that says it all really, Purslow needs to go, it was his ridiculous appointment,

It is shockingly bad, but that wasn't a red card,

Watkins just isn't good enough at this level
