I think biggest question now is, who do you leave out of that front 6? Bolasie is showing he needs to be there when 100% fit but el ghazi did well and Jack is too good at getting out of those tight spaces. I think 352 with el ghazi and Bolasie as wing backs is too gung go just to fit them all in and think Mcginn and Hourihane look a potentially top level partnership in the middle.

I’m in agreement

Wolves played 3-4-3 last season

I would be going 3-4-1-2 if I was Bruce

Nyland

Tuanzebe
Chester
Hutton

El ghazi
Mcginn
Hourihane
Bolsasie

Grealish

Abraham
Kodjia.

I don't think we are in agreement if you read my post properly.
Wolves played full backs in those wide positions of the 4 which Bolasie and El Ghazi are not.
There is being more attacking and then there's just being plain silly and removing any balance to the side.
Someone like Adomah if he gets his pace back works as a wing back as he can be similar to Moses but El Ghazi doesn't have the physical strength to be convincing defensively.

We don't have the players for 3-5-2 unless we drop El Ghazi and Bolasi, they would not work in that system as they aren't defensive enough.

For me we need to look at 4-5-1 with either Tammy or Kodjia up front or a 4-3-3 with Bolaise and Kodjia off Tammy.

Jack on the left doesn't work, he is much better through the middle, totally agree Hourihane and McGinn should be the middle two for sure - El Ghazi and Adomah lovely options from the bench, as is Hogan and Davis when fit. Going forward we really are spoilt for choice but it's defence where we struggle, last night we could have conceeded a couple.

My only hope is that, when the big games come, our experienced team raises it's game.

No we are in agreement rknewell . I agree that it’s very gung-ho and el ghazi is very light weight .

However given the current squad, I also think that this is potentially the best formation and line up .

Players can be moulded by the right manager to make the best of position the are being asked to play in .

I never in all my days of thought Ashley Young would be a left back/ wing back for Man U or England at the World Cup as he is too light weight . But he did

With Hutton and tuanzebe a time the back we have power and pace, Mcginn also puts a shift in and would maybe be a deeper lying midfielder.

I’m reality it’s all a matter of opinions, and let’s face it Bruce will never adopt an attacking philosophy, Elmo and Jedi when fit always be in the squad.

I'd say last night was nearly right. Axel in for Jedi and we'll be sorted. The wingers can be rotated to keep them fresh and Thor can be used to cover injury/ suspension in the middle.
433/ 451 is what we have been playing and it's why people have been complaining as the players get drawn too deep and leave the striker isolated. The 442 at least guarantees support up front.

I would love to see us play a More attacking 352 or 3142 formation and stick to it,
For me Bruce makes to many changes from game to game and putting players in there wrong positions,
A settled back 4 would help,
Hutton is r/ back 1 week then L/ back the next,
Jedi is a C/ B 1 week then next week a holding midfield player.
Players are not gelling and This for me is the main reason
We have a potential good partnership between kodjia and Abrahams starting but will Bruce play them away from home?
These are the things that get up fans backs m with Bruce,
He does not know his best team or system of play,
But a win is a win and it was hard thought.
Rotherham have not won a game away from home for over 2 years so let's not get to overjoyed just yet,
Winning the next home game against a better team will tell us more about where we will be at,

I think best formation with the players we have is 42121 . a wins a win I'm not getting carried away Rotherham are poor 'we need too rack up the wins before Nov, DEC, fixture there tough, bob.
