Certainly looks like Diaby is joing the Saudi club, probably earn four times what he could earn in the prem. i'm sure we will do more business before the start of the season, however, If what we have is what start the season with, does anyone think we have enough to finish higher than seventh.?

The Saudi league is going to have far reaching consequences for football. Hearing a rumour he could go to Saudi and possibly be loaned out to Newcastle.
Would be a very bad sign for football if true.
But then again would I mind if it were Villa.

Just read an article Scot that whilst the Saudis could sign him he might “miraculously” end up at Newcastle on loan.

Hard to compete with them for wages but I haven’t seen anything on sky sports about him joining either club just yet.
we have nearly 6 weeks left I’m sure we will make more additions before the deadline, I do think we still need a few more bodies, RB and a winger, if we sell more than just the deadwood we will probably need to buy more than 2

We were top 5 since Emery joined and haven't sold anyone so I don't see why not.
Brighton will have lost 2 of their best players and Chelsea will only have 2 midfielders unless they do more business.
I'm not overly worried about Spurs and think United and Newcastle are both catchable if they don't further improve their squads.

I am sure we will end up with more than we have Scotty, but we have added two quality players in Torres and Tielemans we also can incorporate the likes of Archer into the first team squad, in addition the squad will have had a full pre season with a world class coach and whilst other teams will look to recruit I don’t think we will be the only ones who may lose out on signings because of the Saudi league so I think we could finish around where we finished last season but we wouldn’t have enough to challenge for the top four in my view.

Most things I've read about diaby are saying he prefers a move to the premier league, maybe that will change when he sees the wages the saudi's offer up!
