I stand corrected. VJ is clearly the voice of the Villa. Purslow was a waste of space - did nothing for the club - and the women’s team don’t matter. Regards to his collaborator Miss Spelt.

You're allowed to not want to watch women's football but there is a time a place, and a way to say it.
The comments raised by a couple of you were essentially saying the women don't deserve to have a professional team just because you don't enjoy it.
You can say whatever you like but when you are being overtly misogynistic expect to be called out on it.
I don't watch the Paralympic games but I don't go out of my way to dump on the achievements of anyone related to it. I certainly wouldn't insinuate that they should be defunded just to throw an extra few quid at the main Olympics.

I have to admit I also have no interest in most women’s sports, villa or not I’ve never watched them or even being interested enough to watch a 3 minute highlight link on sky sports, everyone is entitled to their opinion and there are a few here escalating what VJ said, he basically said he had no interest I don’t see the big issue, there is often a thread started on here about the women’s team and their success this year but that thread rarely go’s further than 2 or 3 comments so that to me highlights everyone else’s lack of interest but at the same time want to be part of the p.c brigade that’s just jumped down the throat of v.j

Spot on Daz. Villa is a club with a number of different facets, not just the men’s team. Everyone is entitled to their opinion, but all our teams have merit and don’t deserve to be discounted. God help us on this site if Villa ever set up an LGBTQ+ team ?️‍??

The comment wasn't just that you don't watch the women's team though was it?
Your comment was that Purslow deserves no credit for helping to make them successful because you don't care about them.
It was part of his job and he exceeded expectations, by saying it is meaningless you are saying you don't think they are worth the effort.

Yup - at the Bescot and VP. Partially because lately it's been unusual to see a Villa striker score more than a handful of goals in a season so Rachael Daly has been a breath of fresh air. I was thinking earlier that, for example, in athletics, everyone is treated the same in terms of reverence and the support given to their event on the day. Maybe because it's more of an individual sport than a team game (except the relays obviously) . So yes, I do go to the women's games, but obviously not to Christian's cocktail parties (which I'm invited to all the time) because he's a complete idiot ??

I live too far away to go to any games, men and youth included but have watched bits when they have been on TV.
I don't go out of my way to watch them but I'm happy seeing them doing well when I'm looking through the villa news.
