I hear from journalists and apparent "insiders"that the yank and his cronies are now looking at offering the job to sylvan petrov, i know he is involved with u19s but is it me or does this latest idea (if true) is a bit cynical, any opinions?

As a player Stan was a good servant and great player, but that is where it ends for me mate.
We need to be spot on with our next appointment and that is way off the mark.

Director of football for Stan
Along with Ian Taylor
The next appointment is crucial
All names will be linked
Pullis will be a free agent in the summer safety almost certain under him but we all know an Albion fan who says they won't renew there tickets as the football is so bad
Until the last 3 games where he has played a striker
Horrible thought though
will Aston Villa be a desirable job under the present regime

I posted before that Learner is well pived at what has happened and will bank roll the club again
But
He must have promised Remi some money in the January window and went back on his word
Will mangers bear this in mind when approached by the club
If the rumour is true Moyes turned us down as he couldn't have the final say on transfers.

I agree Dave.
Sadly sentiment has no place at min.

{Ed025's Note - the problem flackie as i see it is what calibre of manager can you attract?...facing almost certain relegation with a squad that many feel is not even good enough for the championship, and an owner who is not prepared to release funds for transfers, not exactly lucrative for a decent manager and a possible banana skin for an up and coming one, im not having a go at villa here mate as i see them as a great club with a solid fan base and fantastic history, im just pointing out that a big name will be very hard to attract..

I still think we should be paving the way for Moyes.
Give him the contract, give him the funds, give him the support, and above all give him the time.
He would sit well at Villa Park.
Whoever we get is not going to please everyone, but I think most would be happy with him.

{Ed025's Note - he would be good dave, but i expect he will get better offers mate..

You know what ED your completely right, It does not matter who we say/ who we would like, What manager in the world wants to work for us to be openly abused by the players because the b******* didn't get a little warmer 4 day break in the sunshine for Winning a game against a poor Norwich when in my opinion but for there poor finishing we would of lost, we was abysmal but a couple of lucky breaks, then following week rumour has it they deliberately didn't try vs LFC and trying to ruin Garde's reputation and to top it off players openly taking the p*** out of us loyal fans who pay hard earned cash every week to watch a pile of s*** via social network it's disgusting and I would fine them 3/ 4 wages for the season apart from Gana, Ayew, Sissoko, Amavi. Owner, club runners in disarray, can you buy YOUR own players, can you install your philophosy' and turn a massive club around and gain a bit of respect once again, Any manager will be brave to take job on, but let's not go back down that road again and hire any current blue thing, or ex blue thing, that's a NO, NO.

{Ed025's Note - its a tough one jayz, an ex-player who knows the club and the fans would be a good shout, a peter withe or similar..
