With it now being confirmed that Villa have a transfer budget of £100 million this season this is how I think we should spend it
Ivan Toney (Brentford) - £30 million
Dele Alli (Spurs) - £25 million
Daniel James (Man Utd) - £15 million
Rico Henry (Brentford) - £15 million
Ethan Ampadu (Chelsea) - £15 million
Let me know your opinions and if yous would make any changes.

If you’ve got some dodgey pictures of Daniel Levy mate then please share them with club, we might get Kane aswell! If you haven’t, there’s more chance Blues getting promoted this season than us getting Alli for 25 million😂
Daniel James similar, Solskjaer loves him and I’m pretty sure they paid more than 15 million for him, that was what 2 years ago? Add to that they don’t want to sell him, your looking at more than double the price you’ve quoted.
And suddenly the 100 million has gone on two players. Toney, Henry and Ampadu out the window.
I agree with the positions you have targetted.
{Ed077's Note - we paid somewhere around 15m for Dan James and we dont have a surplus of wide players so he gets decent minutes for us. So, 15m wont be enough I think seeing that he seems happy with the current role he has at the club.

I’ll admit £25 million for Dele Alli seems a touch optimistic now to be honest, maybe a fee nearer £35 million seems more likely. Potential there’s the option to get him and ampadu on loan. Regarding Daniel James I personally can’t see him having a big role at Man Utd next season with players like Rashford, Greenwood and Diallo already in front of him and players like Sancho, Pedro Neto and even Ismailia Sarr being rumoured.
{Ed077's Note - My point is Dan James seems content being a squad player at Man Utd for now. Maybe his stance would change after the transfer incomings in the summer but who knows what the transfer window brings for everyone.}

100 million is probably somewhere in the ball oark what we would get for Jack if he goes, so we would need double that to replace Jack boost the squad with enough quality to compete.

The 3 I'd like us to sign depending on price
1 Beundia- take some of the creative pressure off Jack, plus he has a typical South American edge to his game
2 Tammy- knows the club, manager and most of the players and would offer an aerial threat. Would of said Milik, who would be cheaper but think Marseille have the option to buy
3 McNeil- a left footed winger who actually plays on the left- pure genius that ðŸ˜
If we could add Thauvin and Amavi, both on frees, that would be definite upgrades in terms of 1st XI and squad but maybe that's being greedy.

I like your choices Moose, and 3 good alternatives might be Édouard, Lookman and Olise.
I would be hoping Rowe could provide good back up for Targett and likewise Hayden for Cash.

Definitely hoping some of the youngsters start getting a bit of exposure before the end of the season and into next. We won't know if they're good enough unless we try otherwise not much point in running an academy. One of the highlights, for me anyway, of the season was seeing the youngsters against Liverpool and the fact they needed the big guns to see us off plus the fact we were without some of our more standout kids.
Think that's the only downside of saying who we'd like to sign, yes we want to improve the squad but hopefully not at the expense of blocking off the young uns path to the 1st team and squad.

I wouldn’t pay 15 pound for dele alli, why would we even want him? I like Toney, Henry and James to be fair, I don’t think we have a hope with James though, 1 united player I’d go for is D. V. B I don’t think he’s happy to be a squad player, he could be a great at our club, I really like your choices moose and also mark great alternatives and like you I think our backup LB will come from the U23’s next season, Freddy will be back for RB competition. another I’d throw in the mix is pereira from the carrier bags, they are going down and he could easily be bought, saint maxim would be another I’d consider if Newcastle get relegated, if mitrovic could be bought for the right money he would add another option up front, him and Ollie would be similar to gabby and Carew when they were going well. looks like origi will be on the move aswel so another good options, we will have so many options in the summer if we can finish the season strongly, right now my biggest concern is getting the most from our current options we need to push hard now starting today I’m hoping jack has a similar effect as the year we got promoted.

At least 5 of them are knocking on the door and I think certainly, if we get another below par performance today then it would be appropriate to start giving them a go.
It might just keep a few of the regulars on their toes, if they think their places are under pressure and help keep a good tempo until the end of the season, instead of it just fizzling out disappointingly.
That way Deano will also be able to gauge better what our requirements will be in terms of recruitment of players this Summer.

Having watched Edouard regularly anytime Celtic visit Easter Road I can 100% guarantee he would cut it in the prem but have a feeling he will be targeting bigger clubs like Arsenal and Leicester. With Abraham he’ll probably favour a move to West Ham for the promise of European football and because it’s closer to home. Highly rate Lookman but I believe Fulham have an option to buy if they avoid relegation. The thing with Dele Alli is he had the potential to be the signing Barkley was meant to be but I had totally forgot about DVB and he would be a far greater signing. As for Origi apart from scoring tap ins in the champions league I’ve never seen him kick a ball in the right direction.

I’ve heard from a reliable source that Targett will be signing a contract extension so I don’t think we’re going to blow big money on a left back, Amavi is on a free and that could make sense for us, but Hause can also play there and we got decent kids coming through there too. I’m going to go left field here. if we’ve got £100M I’d go for Milik, his buy out clause option depends on him, not on Marseilles so £12Mish would get him. Now for the pelters. blow the rest on Declan Rice, just think he’s the complete package defensive mid, I know some of you will say he won’t come to us, go support someone else then 🤷ðŸ¼â€â™‚ï¸ stop looking for players we can make a profit on, look for winners. Dougie ain’t the answer as this season has proved, he had a purple patch last season but there’s no time for sentiment, we need to kick on, Rice is 10x the player Dougie is, with a bit of luck someone would be willing to pay £30M+ for Dougie. A few more outs to free up squad places and a few more ins to replace them and we’re sweet, not going to say who because that’s up to our management. Remember that our owners have a plan, they’re not here to make us also rans, don’t be surprised if there’s a renaming of Villa Park for big cash, if that gives us some flex and makes us contenders I still know it as Villa Park, think big fellas.

Deano knows pretty much all there is to know about the squad with the possible exception of Sanson, who was brought 6 months earlier than planned due to the bargain price. The likes of Elmo, Taylor will be gone in the summer along with probably Engels so, for me, that's 3 wasted spaces on the bench. Hause can cover centre half and at a push left back so bring in the likes of Hayden, Aaron Ramsey and Chukwumeka and for what game time he's actually getting maybe Barry for Davis?

I’d have Barry on the bench for the rest of the season, give him little bursts of 15-20 minutes, word is he’s going on a bulking up programme in the summer so I think he’s being fast tracked to the 1st team squad, it’s about our time in history to have that special striker that smashes it from an early age, think Owen, Rooney, we’ve had the likes of the Moore brothers in the past but they never really kicked on, Luke was more rated than Rooney when they were around 15, I worked with someone who was friends with him, every time he scored a goal, even for his school he got £500 off Nike. Maybe Barry is ‘the one’ Barcelona saw something in him, just like they did with Messi as a kid. 🤔

As highly as I rate Declan Rice I struggle to think he’d give up Europa league football with West Ham, however a similar player could be Kalvin Phillips as I know we were close to signing him when we got promoted, this could potential allow McGinn to play the role of a no.10 similar to his Scotland role with Luiz and Phillips behind him.
P. S I know we aren’t going to sign DVB this summer but I was merely commenting that he would be a good signing.

Ed I wouldn’t be so sure about DVB, currently he can’t get in a team that plays in the europa league. I’m not saying he’s not good enough but it’s all about money these days and the right package could tempt any player who’s not currently first team.
{Ed077's Note - A team managed by Ole. And a team that will likely play in the CL next season as well. There are other "top" teams who can provide him an escape route from Man Utd who can offer European football to him.
Mind you when he joined, Man Utd were in the CL.
Maybe a loan if at all.
