Hay you crazy cats or followers of the new xia dynasty, this question goes out to kingvilla seeing as your our incumbent expert on all things from the far east, dr. xia has stated that he (or whoever the secretive we are? bearing in mind he also said this deal was all him) has deposited 100 million pounds in the bank, no arguements there, things looking good so far, but here is the nub of confusion maybe you can help me with, if he is buying us for 70 million, again no arguments there; that leaves just 30 million, but then goes on to say he'll spend 50 million plus on transfers.

now maybe my calculator has gone, or maybe being in a class of 82 (which some wag pointed out) meant my teacher didn't school us properly, but doesn't that leave him with a shortfall of maybe 20 million?

he then states 'we will get promotion in 1 year ideally, it will be difficult but we 'must' try very hard', as a business man kingvilla, and i openly admit i don't have your standing, trading history or business acumen, but when someone talks in this way that suggests to me (hey but what do i know; coming from a council estate etc) he's front loaded the deal and with leverage against a certain time span, and again i'm only guessing, but i'd say there could be financial penalties attached as well, especially as one of our fellow villians alluded to a certain gentleman being involved in the background, who i do believe has somewhat of a knowledge and history in this type of deal.

please forgive my naive understanding here, but if 70+50=120, why would you make a massive song and dance and announce it to everyone, when only putting 100 million in the bank? and further more, in the same interview, one given to reassure us, why would you then refuse to answer any further questions raised in regard to financial equity, now i think we should give him the benefit of the doubt and guess he has a deal in place to rename the ground (he said it will be more than likely called Lotus Villa Park (musn't grumble its for the greater good), fair enough,

the thing is he owns the lotus food brand, so his company is paying him to sponsor us! i know somewhere i've probably missed something; please can you put my mind at rest and help me to understand this high convoluting business deal? if you could please kingy, cheers champ.

Well for a start the business deal has many upfront, future payments and clauses within the ownership. That's a certainty, so the breakdown of your calculation based loosely on the 'fact' of the owner being quoted about a bank deposit is tosh.

We have kingvilla for ridiculous rumours and yourself for the farfetched conspiracy theories.

classof82 right. first of all its simple he states there is over 100 million in english bank. that's 52 million Lerner gets straight away there 50 mil players. then he has to pay off our 25 million overdraft. if we get back up or I mean when we get back within 3 years Lerner gets another 30 million. that's the deal and structure of it. as for him saying we a lot I've got 2 thoughts on that. from what I've seen I still belive there is government involvement so he may be telling slight porkys there. the second thought I have is he is very close friends with Jack ma so there may be some involvement from him. I think there could be some sort of sponsorship with alibarba in terms of raising revenue. but as I've stated many times before he is a multi billionaire and finance for me is no worry at all. just because he does not wish to come out and say I've got 9 billion it does not mean he's a fake. do you want to disclose you income or net worth on here. I know I don't. at the end of the day no one has to belive a word I say it will all be passed off soon then he will start to show what he's about.

I've been reading some posts on here for the past couple of months now and like one or two have pointed out, there seems to be a lot of resistance to the new owners. Because people don't know anything they gone (not worst case) but into Armageddon meltdown mode. "He's a crook", "He's a blue nose in disguse". The fact is, there's no information to backup what's he's going to be like as an onwer and the fact that he's prepared to put his neck on the line and restore some pride back into this club should be applauded not berated.

Anyway rant over and back to what made me want to post in the first place. From what I've seen, the £100m is the amount he's ring fenced to buy the club, nothing more, nothing less.

£75m purchase price (this price seems to vary between £60m-£75m depending on who's reporting it)
£24.5 to clear the overdraft (wish my credit was that good! )
£99.5m total purchase price

Now there are add-ons of around £30m if we make it back to the prem within 3 years and i think possibly more if we then stay there for 3 yrs. So the total price could reach around £150m. And i hope it does because that means we'll be back and possible stable in the prem once again.

Where the money is coming from for the transfer kitty is unclear at this point, but being a businessman, I'm sure he'll have a plan. You don't just spend £100m without one! Once the prem and football league have finished their chacks and signed off on the deal, I'm sure we'll hear about his plans. Don't forget, he cannot take ownership of Villa until the prem and football league ratify the deal, so he's unlikely to run around telling everyone his plans without actually owning the club.

I don't know wether to laugh or cry with an accusation like that raised at me, but no, i don't drag my knuckles on the ground and i haven't got teeth like a bag of chips, and also, i would not be spending most of my day and night fuming and wondering how we went from europa league with j.g., to in europe, unless brexit happens, and the answer is simple, we never should have put our faith in the false prophet martin o'neill.

all the dough he spent, and how much better did he do than david o'leary, not a lot me thinks, i mean who buys a player for big money with a broken leg, pure genius, but i digress, and if my dog could talk he'd say he's had enough of hearing about the troubles i tell him every day, i think he's going to doggy court to get an exclusion order against me, and i wouldn't be doing my nut at 20 past midnight on a friday morning replying to this, so, in a nut shell; the only thing blue about me fella is how i'm feeling about this disaster and how we need to move quick lively before we're left behind in trying to get a squad together. anyways, i might as well take that dog for a walk and bend his ear again!
