So you receive a call from Monchi this morning looking for help deciding our final piece of business, you can make 1 purchase 1 loan signing and have to sell 1 player. keeping in mind you have to keep the books reasonably balanced so you can't spend over 25 million unless you sell a big name.
Who's your 3 names?

Martinez
Frimpong konsa Torres maatsen
Tielemans Onana

That’s a top 4 team with our remaining players on the bench

Jack would not be a Emery player. Pep the best coach / manager in the world can’t get a tune out of him. Give Ramsey time he will be 2x as good as jack

Attempting to hold back my fantasy football thinking:

No way Sterling DBS, did you know he’s in the top 10 highest paid players in the Prem? £300K+ per week for not a lot of end product, if Pep (best manager in the world) was happy to let him go, and in what could be called his prime, then he ain’t good enough for us ??♂️

Easy manage a team when you can buy who you want with endless supply of cash and break any rules you want with no consequences

All-star - Don't get me wrong, I was one of his biggest critics for England, but we're not England and we'd be kidding ourselves if we think he would improve our attacking options, especially at Chmapions league level. As for wages, that's why i opted for the loan option whist trying to be realistic based on current market and within the original brief.
Good bit of fun - great post Whack!

DBS, his wages would be north of £12M for the year, but mostly we would never take to him. Agreed though, it was a great question, but I think it’ll be more than 1 we sell, Dendonker, Moreno for definite, if it was a toss up between Cash and Carlos I’d go Carloscos of his age and wages and the Feyenoord guy is aRB/CH. Meant to mention this a while back but Kamara has also played at centre half in the past, it’s early days but he ain’t going to displace Onana when he’s fit again

My assumption was that a loan wouldn't involve paying all of his wages, but they are sky high. Will be interesting to see where he goes.can't see anybody outside the Saudi league coming close to matching his wages and apparently he's not keen anyway.
I'd imagine Emery would love to be able to play Kamara and Oana with Tielemens just in front, but it'll be a lovely problem to have over a long season.
How nice is it going in to a season with so many options, champions league to look forward to and a genuine chance of pushing the top 6 again.
I've already psychologically prepared myself for finishing 8th and getting hammered by Real Madrid, but still such a contrast to 5 years ago I won't complain!

No-one seems to want to manage an endless supply of Cash Whack. They just want to get rid of the one Cash we have ?

Cash didn’t have the best of seasons last year, had a few injuries too, doesn’t mean he’s a lost cause. Maybe we should just hold out till Jan now? Maybe we could get the Feyenoord guy and Jonathan David on pre contracts for free in Jan too with them being in their last year ??♂️
