Apparently Bruce is fearful of his job prospects under the new ownership as, apparently they are likely to automatically change the manager. Nope - they will change the manager if he is clueless and his track record indicates that he is likely to achieve cluck-all. Now be fearful.

Bit harsh on Bruce, don't forget he was going to stay with Villa when we were about to go into administration. He's a decent manager and seems a decent bloke.

Sorry Bucky - my mistake - we were only the 9th out of 11 teams Brucie has managed, including almost 8 years managing Small Heath Alliance. It’s uncanny just how many of those are now fighting for Champions League places ??. I agree - very decent bloke. Singularly unsuccessful as a manager though - just my two- penneth.

As a man, one of my top three blokes to have managed us in recent history, as a manager, probably pushed me closest to handing my season ticket back!

His commitment and attitude toward the club, whilst going through the toughest time of his life personally should never be overlooked, his role during the summer when everything was swept from underneath us should never be understated, from several articles and podcasts since it seems as though Bruce was the only one holding things together at one point, taking on responsibilities way above that of a manager!

But on the football side of things, it was awful, that side that lost to Fulham in the play off final, might be one of the best championship sides not to get promoted. The tactics all season were awful and got even worse in the final!

That being said, if they do replace Bruce will they be looking for a homophobic manager who supports public floggings and executions for people’s sexuality, and will work under Sharia Law?

I think Bruce is an interesting manager and I would put him in the same category as Mick McCarthy, nice blokes and good at managing up to a certain level but we don’t know whether they could really cut it at a top side where they would have real money to spend because they haven’t really been given the chance. I do think though that Bruce has a decent record when it comes to transfers he has bought the likes of Saint Maximin, Maguire, Robertson, Dugarry, Forsell, Bent, and McGinn all quality players and in some ways it is a shame he will never get the opportunity to show what he could have achieved with a big club where he had real money to spend.

Steve Bruce is a gentleman, when he is at his Solihull home he has been in a number of the local pubs and i have witnessed him willingly talking to fans. Unfortunately he is not a quality manager, hence his number of sackings and just remember how much money he has made being bang average at his job. Multi millionaire for being crap, not a bad job, he us smiling all the way to the bank, absolutely no sympathy for the man when he is sacked again shortly with another wheelbarrow full of dosh.
