John Percy of the Telegraph reckons we are leading the race for Buendia ahead of arsenal.

What a signing that would be - Seems like we are looking a small number of signings in key areas, sounds good to me especially if they are of Buendia's calibre.

I hope I am wrong but I don’t think Buendia will be coming, two reasons firstly Deano’s comment that he doesn’t see the club splashing out big money on players this window, and secondly I understand Buendia would rather move to a London based club.

I'm not getting my hopes up on Beundia John, agree that London is a big draw but after Purslows comments yesterday I still think we will spend but maybe on 2 or 3 areas rather than the 5 or 6 we may need.

Seem to think we could have had Buendia for a whole lot less 12 months ago.

I am not convinced Arsenal have much dosh to play with without selling players. With that in mind, an early play for Buendia will likely play to our strengths.

Smith and Purslow's recent commments seem to suggest only a few additions. It will be interesting to see if, say, Sinasalo gets a chance as no. 3 keeper or whether we go for someone like Gazzaniga.
