It's official, deano is a spoonhead-we have apparently made a move for dean'rehabilition room' sturridge, talked to a few tesco bags and they said he was a complete waste of money, but still strolled (or should it be hobbled) around like it was a privilege for him being there, if we do sign that sicknote then deano has got to go, we'd be better off with hogan, or if all else fails, I'd bring back weimann, he's not as quick as he was, but he's adapted and has more positional awareness, guile and cunning to make up for his loss of speed, actually get the bloke in from the burger van, he'd do a better job than sturridge, by all that's holly, don't let us throw good money down the drain for maybe 10 minutes of him being on the pitch before he gets injured again, NOO!

82, I am not entirely happy that we are looking at him "if true".
But I have thought about it for a minute, and pondered the idea that if he scored the winner in any game that secured us 3 points, 5 million would be a bargain.
Far cheaper than getting relegated, and the other effects it would have.
He could be used as an impact player, second half, last 20 mins, etc.
Don`t get me wrong, I would rather have Mitrovic, Watkins, Bowen, or the likes, "Its only a thought".

I think the sturridge deal if goes threw could be good, I wouldn't start him I'd use him as a impact player, could be 4mil well spent and he knows where the net is.

I get how the thought might not fill you with wonder mate, but I'd save your energy and time for worrying about what does happen, not what might happen. The Sturridge thing is one of many rumours floating around in the usual January clickbait pot. if you're going to get carried away with rumours you might as well chose one you'd be happy with.
We're signing Piatek and Wanyama, Dean smith is a legend.

Agree DJC, I posted along the same lines yesterday.

Actually boys, I believe the sturridge story is not far wide of the mark, as in last chance saloon, if we come up short everywhere else then he's the one we'll hang our coat on, oh and for Villadave, I'm loving the optimism that he'd manage 20 minutes! personally if all else goes up the swaney, then nakhi Wells might be worth a punt.

That's more than fair enough Classof82, I guess my point was just to challenge why you think the Sturridge rumour (which you clearly don't like the sound of) isn't wide of the mark as opposed to any other rumour flying around which you could be positive about? Have you heard anything on top of what's been reported? Fair play if so but please share it.
If not, it just seems odd to me to get worked up about something that may or may not happen that you don't like, when you could use exactly the same amount of logic and reasoning to turn your frown upside down and chose to believe one of the rumours you do like the sound of.
Each to their own I guess though.
