Seems Leicester won't let Slimani come to us on loan as they want to offload him permanently. He's scored 7 in 13 for Monaco which begs the question as to why they don't want him on a permanent move.

Heard rumours he can be a bit of a liability in terms of fitting in with a group so maybe that why. who knows though.
Rumour coming out of Netherlands is that the agent of PSV player Gaston Pereiro is in talks with Villa. Only seen him play at international level but was good from what I remember and has a good record over the last 3/ 4 seasons. He's been dropped to the reserves due to his contract ending and them trying to force him out for a fee apparently.

I think Pereira could be bought for around 5 million according to recent reports. PSV are desperate to sell. His contract ends this summer and apparently he wants out.
They don't want to lose him on a free.
He's an attacking midfielder who can also play on the wing.
On average he has scored a goal every 3 games for PSV and the same for the national team, pretty damn good strike rate for a midfielder.
He's only 24, and I think if he can be bought for around 5 million, would be excellent value for money. I hope this rumour is true DJC.

Another plus regarding Pereiro, Uruguayan players are always tough, gritty and determined.

I am hoping there is something in it, if there is usually something on Sky transfer centre, but nothing on Pereiro.

I'm hoping the same as you Villadave, assuming that this is aswell as a striker and not instead of.
Get where you're coming from but disagree slightly with Sky Transfer Centre. a lot of what they broadcast is just time filling nonsense and recycling the same rubbish you get trawling the internet from any dodgy source. Obviously they do have one or two decent reporters with genuine connections but more often than not they know as much as we do until something pops up on Twitter.
Had a beer tonight, sorry for the rant, but some of the rubbish they chat about on transfer centre pretending to have insight is like they read a script from that Kingy bloke.
