Interesting snippet on TalkSPORT this lunchtime, apparently Carney Chukwuemeka will not sign a new contract and will either leave when his contract expires, or he will be sold. He was apparently a little disillusioned by his lack of game time under Smith, and that hasn't improved under Gerrard and the signing of Coutinho has made matters worse and so according to reports he's off.

Sounds more like agent looking for a payout .Most of these problems,usually have an agent at the bottom of it .

I hear what you say re patience however if you take Liverpool as an example they only play the likes of Curtis Jones and Harvey Elliott occasionally and yet you don’t find these guys agitating for a move, so what’s different with us? Whenever Chukwuemeka comes on and it is very rarely he seems really comfortable at premiership level so I am not sure why he isn’t getting more opportunities if he goes I think he will be a real loss
