Hi Eds, hope you're keeping well.

Have you got any news regarding players Villa might be interested in? Will they have the funds available to spend?

{Ed002's Note - Aston Villa have the opportunity to address their FFP issue and make some changes but sales will be key to this.}

Cheers Ed, if sales are able to facilitate new signings, do you know of any players they've had their eye on?

{Ed002's Note - Club have money issues and until a stay in the PL was confirmed everything has been on hold.

Christian Luyindama (CB) is unlikely to obtain a Work Permit for the Premier League and Galatasaray may not want to sell.
Baptiste Santamaria (DM) Angers will not look to let him leave on the cheap having rejected offers from Aston Villa and Bordeaux last summer so they have a price at around €20M - but critically they want a cash, or near all cash sale. Angers have shared Leicester, Aston Villa, Napoli, Atalanta, Villareal, Spurs, Fiorentina, Sevilla, Everton and West Ham have all sent scouts to watch him this season. Additionally, the interest of Lille and Lyon is well understood. He will certainly be sold this coming summer but there is a side issue that might make a move to England a little difficult.
Christian Luyindama (DM/CB) Aston Villa could be priced out of the market for him. Wolves are keen and Galatasaray don't want to sell. Has just recovered from serious knee injury.

John Swift (CM) Reading's CM player has been recommended by JT after his time at Chelsea. A JG replacement.
Morgan Sanson (CM) beyond very unlikely but an enquiry made

Michy Batshuayi (S) want a loan but will not be able to buy due to serious financial issues that are going to hit Aston Villa - very unlikely
Alexander Mitrovic (S) can't see it.
Kelechi Iheanacho (S) no chance.
Alfredo Morelos (S) Although Rangers don't want to sell, there have been equiries for Morelos from Aston Villa and Crystal Palace (way down their list). Very unlikely.
Said Benrahma (LW/S/F) Brentford are looking for £25M with Palace, Spurs, Leicester, Aston Villa, Newcastle and West Ham showing an interest - the question will remain can he step up - won't happen.
Serhou Guirassy (S) makes little sense but Aston Villa has taken a look as have West Ham, Brighton, Bournemouth, Arsenal and Spurs who have had the player offered to them. Amiens want some of those nice English pounds and no English clubs will pay over the odds.
Vedat Muriqi (S) too expensive for a club facing financial issues

I keep hearing about financial issues, but Smith has siad on many occasions if we remain in the league there will be money to buy.

{Ed002's Note - Yes but money will need to come from somewhere and whilst there is the opportunity to address the issues AV should be doing that.}

So edd what you are saying is we need to sell likes of grealish mings Mcginn Heaton, to generate money to buy, I don't see this happening with the ffp been relaxed and the supposed 100m plus for staying up I think there will be plenty to spend has city not just got passed the ffp rules, oh and there is the fact of having billionaire owners there aswell.

{Ed002's Note - Obviously I did not say that and you are clearly an idiot. You also don't understand FFP nor the situation with Aston Villa. There is no £100M plus for staying up. FFP has been "relaxed" to allow clubs to ease their problems not spend for the sake of it. It has nothing whatsoever to do with Manchester City. And it certainly has nothing to do with how much money the owners have. Try not to embarrass yourself further.}

What are these “serious financial issues” the club are facing Ed?

{Ed002's Note - It is not worth opening the issue up yet again.}

I don't understand the ffp rules I never stated that I do edd, u siad that money will have to come from somewhere hardly selling the likes of lansbury etc is going to generate a lot of money I'm not been smart here but isiant there a substantial amount of money for staying in the league tv money etc.

{Ed002's Note - Aston Villa have to pay money back for this season's broadcasting. You really need to put aside any thoughts of money.}

Don’t know why the Ed has so many opinions about Aston Villa or there FFP not really interested in there opinion.

{Ed002's Note - Nearly a sentence there - well done.}

What’s this Ed’s issues with Aston Villa and FFP we have rich owners who will deal with FFP sounds like we owe this Ed some money he had other issues with Aston Villa.

{Ed002's Note - You should start your posts with "Speaking from the position of utter ignorance ..." as you clearly know nothing about the finances. Why not just stop posting all of this nonsense?}

Eds why would villa have to pay money back for broadcasting I was 109% sure it worked the other way, and on another note I don't appreciate the name calling, the eds on this page are the only ones I here mentioning villa and ffp rules it's strange, when smith siad yesterday there is money to spend and it will take a huge offer for the club to sell Jack so that would suggest to me there not worried about Ffp only the eds.

{Ed002's Note - So Aston Villa are also run by idiots as well then if they are not worried about FFP. One wonders why the owners sold Villa Park to hide losses? There is no point you discussing anything to do with finances as you simply don't get it.}

Clearly there is both in it then mate, villa park was sold to another company of the owners as have city and Newcastle and many more do the same villa at the end of last season announced a 60 million loss after the sale, this is many reasons 1 such reason was the length of time we spent in the championship and the parachute paymeant was getting less each year, we had the likes of Richards Hutton and many more on big wages all of this was last year's tax year, Forward on a year and a lot has changed I'd say Jack on the biggest wage which is peanuts compared to orthers in the league, More tv money, villa park sold out until lockdown, look everybody has there views and opinions and mine are that we don't need to sell to buy a better quality playa, yeah we won't be buying anywhere near the amount of players we did maybe 3-4 better type players.
