From the teams promoted the only team who you'd better on staying up at the moment is Sheffield United, did they spend as much as us, no, do they have more technically gifted players, no, do they have a better incentive package for winning, no, - for me the main reasons are Chris wilder would rather buy a player who fits a team first ethos, he has made sure they are super fit and everyone knows their job.

he also realised that not changing his squad too much by buying too many new players which have to integrated, he also realised that those who got you promoted deserve their chance first, -the premier league is world renowned for being fast-flowing, gruelling end to end football for a full 90 Minutes.

it's also known that in this league you give the ball away too much you get punished, these are not secrets to anyone, so how come we aren't fit enough to play 90 minutes even now, God help us come January onwards, we can't keep the ball and make too many individual mistakes-we're not a team yet, and that is the fault of our coaches, some on here say stop having a go, he's 'one of us' - You're incorrect:

Firstly, he's our manager and that's it, he's to be judged on that alone, and he's failing, wrong captain, wrong system, and no wrong judgement calls at crucial times, and all these things can be remedied through extra training sessions and hard work, but for me we've bought too many players who are great individually, but not team players, unless dean of shallows his pride and changes his system then he's gone in the next 5 games if that-we've no time for sentiment unless championship football is what you want next season.

Very harsh 82, I understand its your view, but way too damning at this early stage.
No wonder the divorce rate is so High, people have no tolerance or patience anymore.
If you can't have it now, stamp your feet and sulk.
Trust me things will change, give it time.

We had no choice to go out and buy quite a few players as we didn’t have a squad left at end of last season. give them a chance, and we will get to the level we need to be.

I agree, Classof82! I thank Smith for guiding Villa back to the Premier League.
But I think that we should keep him until the next five games, which are against Burnley (h), Norwich (a), Brighton (h), Manchester City (a) and loserpoo (h) .

The 4-3-3 formation isn't working, I believe that is the biggest problem right now.
With a different one like 4-2-3-1, 4-4-2, 4-3-1-2, 4-5-1 or 4-1-2-1-2, it would've worked better in the long run.
And also if either Jota or Grealish is used as a centre attacking midfielder instead of winger and midfielder respectively, that would probably be beneficial for Villa.

As of now, I think Chester would be a better captain than Grealish with Engels as vice-captain.

If Smith doesn't change the formation and collect a minimum of 7 points the next five matches, sorry, then I think he should leave.
