Further to remarks by fellow bretheren about chris samuelson and alan hitchins, mr. samuelson is on a watch list of american government agencies for questionable financial dealings, the fact he and the pet vet had a company over here that went bust owing just over 15,000 pounds doesn't prove anything your right, but if these 'financial wizzkids'are willing to walking away from a business owing such a small amount of money, what do you think that suggests about their own finances, could they not cover it? or simply they couldn't be bothered to honour their debt to creditors, and these are the guys you want us to trust our club to, and more worringly these are the guys your happy for dr. xia to put on a board. HELLO HELLO IS ANYBODY THERE? -this is our club we're talking about here, i think it deserves the extra scrutiny involved, or do we just do a leeds and trust those in charge of the purse strings to do the honourable thing, your call boys', your call.

Hi Really aka class82, I must admit that I don't understand a lot of this behind the scenes stuff and it goes way over my head but my question is this, if Chris Samuelson and this Hitchens geezer are the dodgy characters that everyone seems to think that they are, then would they not be classed as a "Relevent Person" in this takeover as quoted below and therefore be denied involvement by the F. A. during their checks. Also Tony Xia must of also been aware of what the F. A. checks involved so why would he bring people like this onboard if it would mean that his takeover was doomed to fail. I am not taking sides on this due to a lack of my own knowledge but i really am confused by all of this and am interested to know.

The intention behind this Appendix 3 is to protect the image and integrity of The League and its competitions, the well-being of the Clubs, and the interests of all of the stakeholders in those Clubs, by preventing anyone who is subject to a 'Disqualifying Condition' being involved in or influencing the management or administration of a Club.

More specifically, Appendix 3:

(a) prohibits a person who is subject to a Disqualifying Condition from becoming a 'Relevant Person' for any Club for so long as the Disqualifying Condition subsists;

(b) requires a person who was already a Relevant Person before the Disqualifying Condition arose to stop being a Relevant Person for so long as the Disqualifying Condition subsists; and

(c) requires each Club not to permit any person who is subject to a Disqualifying Condition either become a Relevant Person or (if he was already a Relevant Person before the Disqualifying Condition arose) to continue to be a Relevant Person for the Club, for so long as the Disqualifying Condition subsists.

Appendix 3 also imposes reporting requirements on Clubs and on individuals who are or propose to be Relevant Persons of Clubs, to facilitate The League's policing and enforcement of these restrictions.

Also thinking further, if the press already know of these dodgy people's involvement then why are the not all over it reporting that the deal will fail, god knows they have jumped on absolutely everything else with a lot less evidence than this?

samuelson is not directly involved. he has helped broker the deal and is in it to take his cut. he's not buying or has anything to do with owning it so breath easy. the fact that he is being named as a director is the slightly confusing bit for me. he is a very dodgy bloke but like I said in terms of the deal he's like an agent he's there to help make it happen and have his cut.
