Seeing Obbi Oulare is set to sign on loan for Watford. I know he's young and only played in the Belgian league, but with all the top teams that have been linked with him in the past, and given it's a loan, I cannot believe we're not taking a chance on him. Shouldn't really impact our ability to bring in others/proven players, but could also turn into our next Benteke (both as a goalscorer and a gold mine).

Definitely worth a go. Apparently it's A £750,000 loan fee with a view to permanent deal, win/win in my eyes. Fails send him back. Good player, a coup at £5m buy.

Why are people so keen to develop either teams players??
We are better than that.
We don't want or need loans.

Flackie, I think that's short sighted. It happens across football. Grealish, Gabby (long ago), Gardner. they've all gone out on loan. Could say the same thing there. If he's available for loan, with an option to buy, as reported, that's not just developing someone else's player, because if we were to develop him and decide he's worth it, we sign him and we've developed our own player. If he's not, we've rented a player and given we've sent Robinson out on loan (oops, we did it again) having another striker as back up wouldn't hurt. The potential upside, according to one of the editors not so long ago he was linked with a number of big Champions League teams, is huge.

I think it's more short sighted to think that that is the way we should be looking at doing outle business.
Yes we can loan players out, but we believe we should be eating at the top table, yet want to borrow their players, to give them game time. Then we expect big names to want to sign for us??
Big clubs don't borrow players. It's poor business, and had no future.
Cleverly was prime example, no desire to want to play for us, just forcing a move

Flackie many top teams for years have loaned players for season,just look at MUFC last season Falcao although he was shocking waste of 20 mil for it,good thing about loaning is you could just send back and end contract, Not sure the reporting in talks with Liverpool defender on season long loan what position I hope RB,then just 1 position to go prolific striker then we're done this window

{Ed001's Note - Ilori is a ball playing centre half with pace.}

Difference of opinion then. I'd rather us take a low cost risk on loaning the player with the option to buy than do what Man Utd are doing. They're spending a fortune on Martial, who is the same age as Oulare, and he could work out to be the next David Bellion, young, cost them a fortune (more now in these days of inflated fees) and amount to absolutely nothing.
