John Percy of the Telegraph have said Villa and Notts Forest are in advanced talks at around £12m so I think I believe this rumour.

Yes Johnny and Aka, deal worth 12 up front and 3 dependant on certain criteria said to be progressing. Looking likely to be the first signing of the summer.
Personally happy with this, plays that whole of the right side, had interest from 2 or 3 prem clubs. Good cover and someone to push the wingers and guilbert!

Aka, all the reports are saying Man U are offering, or we want their 3rd choice keeper and Dalot in any deal, Matty Cash is a right back, Dalot is a right back, so if we’ve made a bid and look like Cash will join, why would we want Dalot? So the whole headline/ story is not to be believed, unless we need more right backs than Southgate has for England. If Man U want Jack they’ll have to cough up, especially if Citeh get Messi, to make a statement, not that I care 1 bit about Man U’s image or wotever 🤷ðŸ¼â€â™‚ï¸

Ally, Matty is a useful utility player who can play in other positions especially in the backs and as a winger. Whether Villa sell Grealish with other players moving the other way or not I feel that he will not be playing for us next season.

AKA and Dave, I share your impatience, however we still need to negotiate to make sure we don't pay over the odds.
Personally I'd offer £10m plus a player, say Taylor or similar.

It will be good to get the first signing over the line and if it’s Cash that’s ok but I was never unduly worried about the right back position however left back is where I really do have concerns and it seems that’s the one area of the pitch where we haven’t been linked with every Tom Dick or Harry that’s available I only remember a passing reference to Rico Henry but I have concerns re Targett defensively and Taylor is out of his depth in my opinion but it seems that we may well end up with those two as our left backs going into the new season.

Would be nice to see 1 of the youngsters given a chance even if its only for cover, save us splurging money on players we don't actually need ðŸ‘. Also re Cash, he might not necessarily be being brought (if we sign him) to specifically play right back. He's a midfielder turned defender and could offer that dynamism we need in the middle of the park, young, mobile and likes a tackle.
