I’m unsure if the buy back agreement, but do AVFC have to agree to the buy back or is it an automatic procedure inserted into the contract?

If the buyback clause is 25M then that is disgracefully low. Smith gave the impression it was a substantial figure so I assumed it was 40M+. What do you get for 25M these days, not somebody who can replace Luiz that is for sure.

That’s very interesting Ed, presumably though City would tempt him with a bigger salary than Villa could offer and there’s always the lure of Champions league football.
I wouldn’t have thought he’d be a guaranteed starter though, whereas he’d be first on the team sheet at Villa.
Maybe they should offer him the captaincy.

Not disgracefully low at all BK, look at the season Dougie has before he came to us, there’s a reason we managed to get him and we will make 10million on him if he does go back. 25mil now is low but 12 months ago it wasn’t, don’t forget context.
ED is there a chance that he wouldn’t get a work permit if he went back to city?

I thought he had just got a 2 yr work permit based on his value in the Villa Houdini escape act?
