So at what point do we accept mediocrity as totally acceptable. I hear we haven't been outplayed, fair comment, I hear refereeing decisions have gone against us, again fair comment. I hear too many unforced errors, fair comment, I hear give the manager time, again fair comment, so we keep going until January accepting mediocrity, at which point it's too late, so let's us fans let the owners and management know we are here to support them, however this can't be unconditional and the message has to be, we are Aston Villa and failure is not an option with all of the money that has been invested.

As it was their money that was invested, surely it’s there decision what is or isn’t an option?

These are business men who have built their business on success, I would imagine "it's their view" as well that failure is not an option. Perhaps I'm wrong or stupid, and if things do fail they will keep pumping money in.

Pointless going on about it scotty, I think you said 5 games.
So let's see how things are after those 5 games.
All of this only breeds discontentment on the terraces, media and the club itself.

This is getting ridiculous to be honest. We stay up this season and next season the same people will be wondering why we aren't winning the league.
The 'massive' spend averages around 10mill a player, you rarely get world beaters for that sort of money.

To tell you the truth, lads, I did believe that it would be 2-2 or at least a tie between Aston Villa and Burnley, and I think that it's a fair result. I still think that we will get 6 points in our two next games against Norwich and Brighton. Come on, Villa!
