Ahoy fellow villains,back after a sabbatical, so just a quick message,welcome to all the new members and greetings to the other established members,so I would just like to say this,though it's too early to say Gerrard out,there are worrying signs,I question Mcwinge as the new captain?-striker wise-big mistake not buying someone to play alongside Ings,keeping Bailey?-he'll be our version of Darren Anderton,not picking Buendia over the the ghost (coutinho),dropping mings?-and for last season and I reckon this season,he'll have no plan b.
And finally, it's not for no reason that when we approached rangers for Gerrard they were more than happy to frisbee him off,but fought to keep Micheal Beale,he was the brains of the outfit,and that concludes me to say there is a very striking similarity here with what Middlesborough had with Bryan Robson,world renowned midfielder being able to attract good players to join and doing quite well to begin with,but we all know what happened there and it could happen to us (as in big players,big wages,big let down),so let Gerrard have a run of games to see,he may still strengthen and I hope he proves me wrong,but good fortune favours the brave,I'd smash down the door and pay whatever it takes to get Graeme Potter,a villa fan,level headed,an eye for great talent,and if we don't do it,one of the big boys will,here or abroad,his reputation grows every season,and rightly so.
