Nathan Collins signed for wolves, they seem awfully excited about it, I'm not sure why, Burnley just got relegated cause they couldn't defend like they have in other seasons and Ireland are pathetic for quiet a while now, I say this as a proud Irish man. will be quiet surprised if he turns out to be worth what they paid.

Agree1 Disagree0

Whack, as an Irish man myself I cannot agree with you on this one - I think a lot of the big clubs will be kicking themselves they didn't jump on this deal, at that price. He's an incredible talent and destined for the top in my opinion, he'll be in the Champions League in 3 seasons.

Maybe I’ll eat my words lol time will tell ? in other news jack grealish was worth as much as raphinha and Philips put together, Leeds pants well and truly pulled down.

Or perhaps I will Whack LOL - I rate him very highly, would have loved Villa to be involved but we have 400 centre backs at the club already ?!

Yeah Leeds have had a tough summer - To be honest, Raphina is good but is he 60M good? I don't think so if I'm honest! Need Villa to pull a No 8 out of the bag now and we'll have had a fantastic window, still think we have a record breaking transfer in us yet!

Yep I agree, we haven’t spent a huge amount this summer, I see a 40+ million player coming in before deadline but not sure will it be a striker or a midfielder, probably best if it were a striker

14 Jul 2022 15:37:45
I think our net spend this summer is something like £25 million so i don’t think it’s impossible that we pick up two signings circa £40 million a midfielder and a striker or we could push the boat out and well and truly smash our transfer record and try to get a real top notch frontman in.

The dream window for me would be Bellotti on a free and Leiner from Red Bull, selling Carney would cover that with change, if Bellingham went for £30M playing in the Championship then Carney is worth at least that

15 Jul 2022 08:01:25
Ally, Bellingham had played 40+ matches for Birmingham and was absolutely bossing games in the Championship - Carney, while obviously an extremely talented lad, has played maybe 90 minutes of senior football in total and bar a promising cameo against a defeated and under strenght Norwich side hasn't really stood out. Plus he has 12 months left on his agreement - No way he is worth the same as Bellingham.

BK… Dortmund bought potential and last I heard Bellingham didn’t boss Small Heath to the Premiership, we (apparently) offered £35M for Smith Rowe that probably got as many minutes 2 seasons ago as Carney did last, all the ‘big boys’ want Carney = price goes up, simples despite being in last year of contract blah blah blah. For the record, I don’t rate him anyway ??‍♂️

16 Jul 2022 15:09:35
He didn't get them promoted Ally but he was putting in dominant performances weekly in the championship at 16! It's night and day, Carney may go on to be an outstanding player but Bellingham walks into 90% of teams in world football right now, also bare in mind Bellingham is only 8 months older than Carney, they are a million miles apart in terms of how they should be valued. If Villa can get 10M and perhaps a buy back clause / first refusal then they have played a blinder. If he goes he goes, I won't lose any sleep!

I won’t lose any sleep either mate, only things I can add are it could’ve gone either way for Bellingham, he was obviously handled properly/good coaching, they were buying potential. Remember Spuds offering us £15M for Grealish when we were in the ?? They didn’t offer enough and a few years later gets sold for £100M, that’s what the ‘big boys’ are looking at, like everyone’s after a Kante and paying over the odds for 1

{Ed001's Note - you really are biased Ally. Bellingham is possibly the best young midfield talent in world football right now. He was always going to make it. He was always head and shoulders above everyone in his age group and older groups too.}
