Can't understand what's going on with the new kit,why we haven't had a launch yet .First friendly on Sat,the club stated that all the ones online aren't the shirt,so come on Villa show us the real one .

I think we are 2 players off lads, let's just be patient - SG just confirmed the club are still looking for a Midfielder, we'll get the No.8 and a young LB to conclude an absolutely outstanding window. I'm still hopeful of Sangare joining (think he would add energy and a real physicality to our MF) but I've a feeling it's Gallagher we want.Given the fact we are "waiting" (speculation on my behalf) to make a move I think it's a player who's parent club is still waiting to make a decision on, could see it being a few more weeks yet before we conclude any MF signings.

I think you are right about us looking for a midfielder and a left back and I also think it’s Gallagher I hope though we are looking for a forward to put pressure on Ings and Watkins

I think archer is the man to put pressure on ings and Watkins, I know we have made some good signings but most other clubs have aswel do although we should be improved i'm questioning have we improved more than the clubs they we want to finish ahead of, I know Hickey probably wanted to be sure of first team football but for that money he was a steal imo. I like Gallagher but he’s a way off shooting us up the table for a year or 2.

Think we might look at a forward late in the window, SG has to look at Archer pre season.I think he'll get another loan but who knows, he might bag a few goals pre season and change everybody's mind.

Another Villa page made a good point about Archer, our U23’s are in the League Cup (don’t know what it’s called now sponsor wise) so a squad will be needed for that too, don’t think it’s a knockout thing, it’s a group winners thing so he’d get some games from that, don’t know if it cup ties him for the full team though ??♂️

I think Gallagher would represent more than what he would deliver on the pitch though (as odd as that seems) - I think, along with Kamara, he would be an indication to McGinn, Ramsey, Luiz (if he stays) etc that a starting spot is not guaranteed anymore and they need to up their game. Competition will breed improvement just as much as signings so on paper Gallagher may not scream Top 8 but his trasfer could have a wider impact on the midfield.

I think Archer is going to be a really good player but is he at a level that will score us between 15 and 20 premiership goals? I don’t think he is at that level yet.

I think another loan to the championship would be better for him than being 3rd (or maybe 4th) choice at Villa. He did a fantastic job last season, a full championship season would benefit him in my opinion, he needs minutes.
