Good player no doubt but would any club who signed him be able to insure him? If not then I am not sure any premiership club would take the risk.

Rules and insurance aside, could he be expected to stand up to the pace of the Premier league even as a sub?
I'd say it's not worth the risk, especially for him. He's probably best served either in the Dutch league like Blind or going back to Denmark possibly in a mixed playing/coaching capacity depending on what his post football plans are.

I’d have him at Villa even if he just stood in the centre circle and his only role was to take corners and free kicks.

We essentially had that with Hourihane, it didn't work.
