I think we have seen what lies ahead for Jack in the Euro's, he will only start if nothing is riding on the Czech game, otherwise Jack will at best get 10 or 15 minutes here and there and probably only if we are chasing a result. I am sure the pundits will be singing the teams praises but for me I thought we were bang average and if we play like this against the likes of Italy or Belgium we will get well beaten.

It’s a good start, but Croatia were poor and I’m inclined to agree John. On a positive note Tyrone put in a solid performance and Kalvin Phillips, though it pains me to say it, was outstanding.

I agree mark, Croatia were poor but if you listen to the pundits you would think we were much the better side, and whilst we were better if you looked at the stats the possession was 50/ 50, each side had 8 shots only 2 of which were on target, and I think the corner count was pretty similar also, that doesn’t say to me it was a dominant performance against a poor side and let’s not forget we were the home team.

I love jack for what he’s done for villa and hope he has many more seasons playing for the real lions but no sympathy for him not getting picked for England, him and rice should be playing for Ireland and don’t deserve to be picked ahead of guys who have played their whole careers for England. Ireland were good enough for them when they weren’t considered good enough for England so I think it’s just karma tbh 🇮🇪🇮🇪🇮🇪.

They aren’t Irish mate, and any real Irishman would be embarrassed by the amount of players who represent Ireland despite have never stepped foot in the country.

They can’t exactly play for Ireland without setting foot in the country mate, u know we play our home games there and also train😂

Owen hargreaves, fikayo tomori, wilfried zaha, Matt le tissier, graeme le saux, John Barnes, raheem sterling, to name but a few players not born in England but wore the jersey,
No different for jack and Declan, if they didn’t consider themselves Irish they shouldn’t of declared for Ireland through parents or grandparents, and definitely shouldn’t be allowed to switch allegiances imo.

All make mistakes when we’re young.

As I say, no Irish man should want English lads playing for them, that’s essentially saying “we can’t compete with them so we’ll take the lads who aren’t good enough for them”.

3 of jacks grandparents are Irish so he is in fact more Irish than English, lots of ways of looking at it mate. bit like club lvl also we have to buy players not deemed good enough for the top teams.
England not much to compete with tbh, 1 major trophy to their name.
