What little I’ve seen of Toney, I’ve not been overly impressed. Personally I think Mitrovic would be a better bet.

Mark I couldn't agree more about Toney, however Mitrovic is definitely not the alternative, he has been a bench warmer for a lot of the season for a team who has been relegated.

Admittedly he’s been off it lately Scotty, but he’s still only 26 and has a very good strike rate throughout his career, especially for his country. I just think if we’re going to go with 2 wingers, then he would be the ideal striker to get on the end of crosses, particularly if we get McNeil as he is an excellent crosser of the ball. The fact that he’s not done so well lately, and the fact that Fulham have gone down might mean we could get him for a reasonable price.
If we’re going to stick with playing with one striker, I’m not sure it’s worth paying big bucks for a replacement for Ollie, plus it will be difficult to find one who will be content to play second fiddle to him. I would see getting another striker such as Mitrovic as a stop gap until Louie Barry and Brad Young are ready. I think we should be spending bigger in other areas, getting McNiel and Buendia for instance or players of similar quality. I wouldn’t give up on Wesley and Davis either as back up for Ollie.

All makes sense mark, I have to say if I had a choice of Wesley, Davis or Mitrovic to come off the bench it would be Mitrovic, I still think he would be a risk, but he can certainly play and perhaps in a good side he may flourish.
