Couple of things caught my eye today, firstly the amount of money Villa got from the premier league for finishing 11th, circa £120 million, the world's gone mad I don't see how this type of outlay can continue year on year, the money being spent by the premier league here is bigger than the economies of some countries and at some point the bubble will burst and I have no doubt some well known but by definition smaller clubs will go to the wall. The second thing was the Ben White/ Ezri Konsa debate, for what it's worth I think both players deserve to go, I think Konsa because in my opinion he has been the best English central defender in the premiership this season and White because he to is defensively very sound, he's athletic can get around the park and is versatile so I understand why Southgate has gone with him, what I don't get is Godfrey's selection I don't think he is as good as either yet all the arguments I've seen focus on whether it should have been either Konsa or White no mention of Godfrey not being included bizarre in my opinion.

Konsa and Dias as centre halves would be like Gandalf from Lord of the rings " Thou shalt not pass! " Or a bit like our midfield at times this season 😠would be a massive loss for England and old conk face.
