V4E it will interesting. getting top players in if you're a top 6 side is a lot easier than a mid table team. I think we need to lower our expectations in that respect.

You only have to look at the numbers to know that that’s b####### whilst I have no doubt Deano will have a sizeable war chest I don’t see it being £260 million or even half that to be honest. Interesting that Wesley is supposedly being made available for loan, if that is the case then surely Davis will also be on his way either as with Wesley a loan or permanently which suggests to me that at least one striker will be coming in with Barry being promoted as a more permanent feature of the first team squad.

Yeah, think that 260M figure is absolute BS but I do expect us to spend big in the summer - Could see 150M dropped on 4 or 5 players, think this summer is about quality additions. Think we will see a striker, RW, 10 and HMF come in, and perhaps competition at LB and CB.

We have needed an arse kicker for a long time. Gives and takes.
Frequently a through ball goes past our defence and gives a strike to the opposition.
How many points have we lost from a winning position?
Not saying the stated style of player would stop that but he could reduce the threat by just being there.

TOV, i know you are old school, but with wise words that apply to the modern game. I am fed up of watching our midfield capitulate game after game, putting our defence under pressure. My gripe is that Smith and his coaching team have no idea how to address this issue which does not bode well for the future under his leadership.

Dier for me, he ain’t no Mary Poppins, you don’t have to like him, and cheaper to have his name on the back of your shirt than some of the names mentioned, can slot into a back 3 or 4 too so gives us more options

Magic probably too old and Dier for me would be a massive step back, seen him a few times this season and although he performed for England on the odd occasion, fella couldn’t be trusted at all for Spurs this year, his performance that ultimately helped them get knocked out of Europe against the odds says it all.

Dier is a hopeless footballer. Had a decent Workd Cup 3 years ago, and has gone backwards ever since. Doesn’t have the pace to play in the middle, lacks discipline, and hopeless at centre half too. He wouldn’t get in ahead of any of our current team . we need to be buying an outright starter in that position, Marvelous quality back up. Bissouma level or better. Koopmeiners. Sangare. Palinha at Sporting. Go ambitious and get Camavinga or Gravenbirch. Why not?
