With it being Mental Health Awareness Week I thought I'd share a few things with you. Mental Health can affect different people in different ways some people get emotional some people get angry or some simply don't say anything. For me not saying nothing is the worst kind keeping things bottled up not knowing where to turn to or who to talk to can have significant consequences on your life aswell as others. I suffer with both emotional and the not saying anything side of mental health and believe me its hard. I recently tried to take my own life (Thank you Window Cleaner) for not talking to someone I couldn't talk to my wife I didn't want to burden her nor my friends and family I thought it was the right thing to do how silly was I? But now I've learned to talk to be open and Frank about things yes I still get emotional but not saying nothing was the worst. My wife asks me 2 or 3 times a day am I alright? a family member will ring me to ask if I'm alright? friends will text me and ask if I'm alright? I'm now in a better place by people asking me if I'm alright the point I'm trying to make here is if you know someone who suffers from MH ring them text them visit them ask them if they are OK not once but 2 or 3 times a day let them know that they are not alone their burden is your burden. Or if its you who suffers from MH don't be afraid you are not alone you can always speak to me or family and friends and say Hey
I might need a little help don't be afraid speak up there's nothing to be ashamed about help is always there. Don't suffer in silence like I did and become a statistic Please. If anyone needs to talk I'm quite happy to give out my email address to you. don't SUFFER IN SILENCE.

{Ed001's Note - very well said daz and if you need to talk you can always message me anytime mate.}

Daz, well done for opening up re this issue mate, it can’t have been easy. One thing I think all posters on this site could do is be respectful of other peoples views they are honestly held and you don’t know the impact you might have by totally rubbishing what someone has to say, I accept totally this is a debating forum where differing views are sought but there are ways and means. Daz I have a family member who suffers with mental health issues and so I know it’s a daily struggle just keep fighting mate God bless.
