If chuk goes it surely is going to send out the wrong signals to our other youngsters if he goes we might aswell scrap our youth system what is the point as soon as we get a good prospect he goes because lack of 1st team football, I said b4 15/ 20 minutes isn't going to do no harm, I fear chuk could go on as well and play for england like Bellingham aswell, it's obvious he's a talent because most of Europes elite want him and he can't get minutes at villa ita joke if he goes and a player who I'm excited about especially because he comes from our set up its been a while, I hope it's all bs and he sees sense.

He’s got 2+ years on his contract does he not? It’s a bit contradictory that guys are complaining about youngsters getting minutes but in the next breath they are wishing for the big name transfers. he’s 17 and I think people need to get a grip of themselves, Bellingham left the blue noses cause they are a selling club we are NOT a selling club under current ownership he’s going nowhere he will get plenty of game time next season which will settle him and he will sign a new contract once he turns 18 just wait and see.

It's 100% BS, he is under contract and there will absolutely be a path to the first team for him - I think we need to relax about Chukwuemeka, he's clearly a talent and will be a massive asset for Villa very soon but we need to be patient.

I hope you are right, however try putting yourself in his shoes, he is getting plaudits right left and centre re his ability and how he’s probably the best for his age in the UK if I was hearing that message at his age, I would want to be testing myself at a higher level, he looks around and sees what has happened to other youngsters like Bellingham and thinks that could be me in 12 months given the chance (I know we are not a selling club like Blues but to a certain extent that doesn’t matter if the player wants to move the power rests with him) and IF certain promises have not been fulfilled for whatever reason then if I was him I think I would press the exit button, he is not like Jack a lifelong Villa fan he has no overall allegiance to the club.

John the reality is none of us know what conversations are happening behind the scenes - He's engaged with the first team and if he was running riot during training and Dean Smith and staff have totally ignored him and never discussed a progression plan to senior football then yeah, absolutely he would want to go, but do we honestly believe that is happening? This kid was earmarked 12-18 months ago as the best 16 year old in England by the Chief Exec of the football club, they know how good he is and will 100% have a plan in place. We are revamping our Academy, spending millions on it, we aren't going to lose the first great prospect it has produced, I'm confident of that.

As I said BK I sincerely hope you are right, and I hope the story is as you say bs but I worry that the old adage about no smoke without fire might apply but as I say I am sure the close season will see us establish the true position one way or the other.

I hope my confidence is warranted John, trust me I'll be as disappointed as you if he rocks uo at Bayern next season :-) I'd just be shocked, given everything that is happening beind the scenes, if we don't have a formal plan in place for these young kids and I'd be equally shocked if we made any outlandish promises to him prior to signing. Again, it's just my gut feeling as Villa seem to be operating like a big club finally, we just need to transfer that to the pitch now which is always the hardest part.

I am 100% with you guys, and I really do hope it is all BS, he does need to have a couple of cameo appearances though, because this guy could and should save us millions, along with a few more.
As John has said, we won`t have to wait long to find out, let's get this season out of the way, and see where we are going.

There is no smoke whatsoever John, he has probably said somewhere that he’d love to be getting game time in the PL and u know lazy reporters try to make a story about it. jack has being leaving us for the last 2 seasons but still no bid for him. chuck will not be leaving villa! I’ve watched the young guys play and there is some promise there but I don’t see anyone in that team with the quality of say Harvey Elliot of Liverpool last season and he didn’t challenge for first team and didn’t land a loan to a PL club cause he wasn’t quiet ready, same go’s for chuck he’s not ready yet he will get his chance with us or he will go on loan to championship team, that’s his and every other young player in England’s path. if a big team come in for him then villa will demand 30+ million and no club will pay that.

Agree with most of what's been said above and of course hope he makes it wearing a Villa shirt. If the worst should happen though and he does go it's not the end of the world and doesn't mean the club has necessarily done anything wrong - young players can have their heads turned, it happens to the biggest clubs on occasion and as mentioned above, we have no real insight into his personal aspirations, outlook on life or influences around him. Some players will be released and go on to make good careers, some will not make it, some will be poached and some will go on to play for Villa, that's just the nature of youth development. The bigger picture is that the academy produces regularly, which looks to starting to happen.
