Anyone see any positives tonight, poor players, poor coaching. It's been said but it needs repeating, 6 on the field tonight simply not good enough, the manager as absolutely devoid of ideas. The current trend has been about for at least half of the season and there is not a single shred of improvement. So the season is about to fizzle out, all of the excitement and optomism has been drained away. We have now to look forward to next season and if it is with the same players and tactics I don't hold out much hope of any improvement. Its time for serous reflection from the owners and purslow and I hope they do whatever is necessary to make the changes that can make us competitive again, otherwise we will be fighting against Brighton, Burnley Newcastle, Southampton rather than Everton, Spurs, Arsenal.

I am lost for words Scotty, we can`t hold the ball, we can`t pass the ball, and in truth, we never looked like scoring either.
We are stuck with Luiz by the looks of it, no way would he get in that side.
And they have told us porkies again about Grealish.
And I have to agree, that side as it stands, would be very close to the scrap at the bottom next season.

Not a great performance by anyone's standard tonight but yes, there are positives.
Ramsey looked good and gained some vital experience as a 19 yr old. Next season he could be a star with a few better players around him.
City were seriously on it tonight in long spells and played some excellent stuff, so I don't think it was bad coaching at all, just a far superior team playing very well.
Last season we'd have lost that 1-4 (if not more) but with a limited squad, we defended well and stayed in the game.
Don't get me wrong, I can't wait for the day when we have a team that we should expect more than just staying in the game from. but City are one of the best in the world and we are a work in progress who only just avoided relegation last year.
We have some of our best attacking talent out injured and are on a bad run of form, it happens. The overall progress and trajectory of the club is on the up. If someone had mapped out the progress we've made as a club three years ago and offered it to you would you have taken it?

Agree DBS, Ramsey is starting to show signs he could be a top player. His progression though is due to getting the game time at this level. I was disappointed when Deano brought Barkley on in preference to Chukwuemeka because this lad is another one who could achieve what Ramsey is doing and we all know there are a few others. I know we had this discussion at great length last week, but surely it’s worth giving some of them a bit of that all important experience to set them on their way. It’s working with Ramsey, it can work with some of the other youngsters.
