I might get slated for this I see people are calling for Davis to start. I'm in 2 minds about this I feel he has had some decent spells when coming off the bench but I don't think he will score in the prem fluffs his chances to many times. This is why I feel a deeper role as a attacking midfielder would be better for him. If not a impact sub could be his future. Still don't like el gazi. Have to admit I was slagging trez off when he made a mess of that header oh how he shut me up fair play trez! Hope everyone is keeping safe and well! UTV.

That`s exactly how I feel about him UTV, I said it last year, because I am sure there is a very good player in there.
He shields the ball very well, and as we saw he can carry the ball, the guy also has a trick or two in him.

The good thing about Trez getting them 2 goals is it might make him a bit easier to sell in the summer, he’s a trier, falling over is always his 1st option though, simply not good enough for where we want to be, El Ghazi the same

Yes Ally, I have to agree, he has had his moments, but as you say not good enough for where we want to be.
Works very hard, but so erratic and rushes everything.

I just can’t see him having the vision for an attacking midfield type role, sometimes he does get his head down and isn’t really aware of what’s going on around him.
Maybe that’s because he’s playing upfront and by the time it gets to him he knows unless he’s drifted out wide he needs to be going for goal. After his cameos vs Spurs and Fulham, I’d say it’s definitely worth giving him a chance behind Watkins and just infront of a midfield two. You’d imagine he’d win every flick on that came his way!

Worth a go though chris, I think we can all see he ain`t no finisher mate, vision would surely come.

Gents just thought would it work better with watkins playing in the ten with Davis up top. He holds the ball up better than ollie and would bring in players around him. To me he's like Heskey who other players loved playing with for that reason.

Good point SV. It’s up to the management team to fit Davis in where he could be most effective, presumably they try all these options on the training ground. The goals might come and they might not for Keinan, but if his presence helps Ollie score more or anybody else for that matter then
that wouldn’t really matter.

It is a good point SV, but I do most definitely see Davis in a slightly deeper roll than striker.

All the above options work for me, a good test would be against the Scouse Saturday, 2 actual forwards against a suspect defence, we got nothing to lose trying because we ain’t going to be expected to get anything there, and get Barry on the bench too for a runout 🤷ðŸ¼â€â™‚ï¸

Our usual style and approach has been pretty much sussed out, give teams something else to worry about for the remaining games.
