Couple of interesting reading articles I have come across in the last couple of of days. Man City's interest in Jack seems to be gathering momentum (obviously helped by his agent) but now appears credible. What a miss he will be and what we currently have will continue to struggle without at least five quality signings. I hope any of our acquisitions do not come from the premier league cast offs, sadly this is usually all that is available. It's interesting that two of our best signings this season came from the championship, so perhaps there are a couple of gems out there. Out foreign investments in the main haven't worked so it has to be a concern that is there quality out there that will join a club, with money, ambition and a lack of quality in depth, I unfortunately think we will struggle to attract what we need. As usual I hope I am wrong, unfortunately unless there is a marked improvement in quality proven signings I think we will be a bottom half club.
The other reading I referred to was a Birmingham mail article that followed the players we recently loaned or got rid of, many on here critized the release of many of these, well it seems we were right to move many of on very few have made an impact and many are already bench players. So my overriding point is that our recruitment has not been the best and must improve if we are to compete with a goal towards European football which we are currently a long way off.

When are people going to wake up? we are on our way to greatness, call it the second coming if u will and if this ffp gets torn up we will be there or ther abouts in a season or 2. I say kick off your shoes put your feet up have a glass of wine lean back and just enjoy the ride UTV 👊ðŸ¼.

How do you come to the conclusion that our recruitment hasn't been the best when you say we were right to move the players on that we have done and the players that have come in, albeit not perfect by any means, have progressed us as a team to a much better place than last season? By most standards that's good recruitment.
Unless you literally mean 'the best', in which case I'd agree, our recruitment has been poor compared to. ermm. PSG? Man City?

I don't see Jack going anywhere to be honest, he held conversations with the owners about their ambition before signing a new contract, Jack knows exactly what the owners plans are and remains fully committed and any transfer rubbish is just agents, media and exuberant fans from other clubs. People should understand that we are work in progress and everyone is or should be aware it will take some time. Jack is happy at his childhood club and success with Villa is his main objective, Jack will be in Villa's claret and blue next season make no mistake about that. ðŸ‘ðŸ‘ðŸ‘UTV.
