Had a chuckle today reading that Jack has received offers from several areas.
Now this makes one look carefully at where and how much.
Apparently Jacks next decision is whose boots he wears.
If only I had such massive decisions to make but Mrs OV ensures that I don't have to make them as she tells me which shoes I am going to wear.
Happy wife happy life.
Brightest point today. I had jab 2 and in 3 weeks I should be able to go out properly.
Down the chippy, sit on the seafront with a drink. Watch the tide come and go.
Next week the golf course opens so some regular exercise is on the books.
I feel released from H, M, P.

Hi Oldvillan, glad you are both well, and well done on your C.V. part 2.
I think you will find mate, that you will still have to wear a mask, and socially distance, plus avoid crowds and and poorly ventilated places.
Sorry mate, but that`s how it will be for a while.

The golf course is the safest place in the world. No masks.
We all stay apart, don't touch anybody and never touch other players balls.
Fresh air, exercise and company.
Could even win 20p.
Cant wait.
Ooh forgot. Could lose 20p. Damn.
Dave stay well keep the family well, keep to the rules and we may be allowed into VP next season.

{Ed001's Note - was it normal to touch each other's balls on the golf course then previously? Makes me glad I never got into golf now!}

Ed, Short Expo
Sometimes.

{Ed001's Note - that explains why Ed666 has developed this sudden fascination for the game then.}

Spoils a good walk, Ed001.

{Ed001's Note - I would agree but I was never much into walking either, unless taking the dogs out. All that lovely green land that only a privileged few can use, while the rest of us have to make do with a little park a 20th of the size!}

Interesting that Ed.
A season ticket probably costs more than golf club membership, and you still can't get use the grass.

{Ed001's Note - fair point, but you are not paying for players and staff to 'entertain' you for 90 minutes 19 times a season. Football is a show like going to the theatre or cinema, rather than a participatory sport. A better comparison would be renting 5/6 a side pitches etc. It is just annoying that kids have very few options to play football, yet there is huge areas of grass like that being wasted on a bad walk.}

I would argue that you would have a better chance of being entertained at the St Andrews in Scotland than the St Andrews in Birmingham though Ed. 😂.

{Ed001's Note - I can't stand golf but I would still have to agree with you on that!}

Absolutely Ed, I was talking about that very thing a couple of weeks ago, the nearest pitches to where we live are about 6 miles away, where our Grandson plays.
Other than that you would have to Google it to find any results, there are green fields and waste land all over the place where we live, its shocking really.

{Ed001's Note - it's wrong. The FA don't do enough. They should be buying up land to turn into child-friendly areas. Put in places for whole families to go around football pitches and keep the game strong for generations to come.}
