40 points with 12 games to go and more or less relegation worry free- we'd of taken that gladly before a ball was kicked this season.
Yes we get disappointed with our inability to take our chances to push into the European spots and some of our recent performances but overall we must be pleased?
The rest of the season, if we're not going to bust a gut to break into the top 6,is surely a bit of a free hit to try a few new things, in terms of tactics, team shape and blooding some of the most promising youngsters with one eye on next season without the pressure of a relegation battle hanging over us?
I'm hoping we can get our s##t together and make a push for Europe as this would raise our profile and improve the talent pool we could look at to improve us even further plus encouraging the likes of Jack that this is the place to be.
If not, I'll take the disappointment of the Sheffield United result etc knowing we're not worriedly looking over our shoulder at the bottom 3 and hoping, like last season, other teams perform worse than us.

Brilliant season Moose, had some phenomenal results that people will talk about for years!
Europe was always a pipe dream but was fun to dream, the improvements from last season have been vast, and it seems we are now building a squad capable of playing Smiths football. You build a squad from the back forward, I think the back 4 and keeper is set, now time to add to the midfield and attack.
My hope for the rest of the season is we can get into positions where by we are 2-0 up and can throw on a Bidance for 20 minutes or any of the other lads who have been on the bench the last few weeks.

Don’t know about everybody else, but I would love to see what Chukwuemeka, Philogene Bidace, Aaron Ramsey, Barry, Hayden, and maybe a few others could do.
It would certainly make the last 12 games a lot more interesting if we had a few glimpses of the future, a flavour of what’s to come.
It would surely keep the regulars on their toes, and give Deano a clearer picture as to what additions are required in the Summer.

I'd love to see that happen Mark but, while we still have an outside sniff of Europe, it'll be the tried and trusted unless we can rediscover our shooting boots and be 2-3 goals to the good in matches. That being said, I myself thought we missed an opportunity to bring on the unknown quantity of Philogene-Bidace for the ineffective Traore and see what he could offer. Tho I dare say Deano just wanted to make sure we didn't lose, rather than taking a bit of a risk to win the game with a bit of the youngsters possible surprise X factor.

He'd have to have some sort of personal tragedy to get the phone votes to keep him in. oh my cat ate my goldfish who then got run over by my mums car as she swerved to miss a cyclist who happened to be my childhood sweetheart who I lost contact with when she emigrated to Tehran- or something like that ðŸ˜.
